Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!
IUHoosier5 replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Wow, that would be epic and bring national spotlight. Dreaming BIG. -
It’s not the outcome we “should” want because it means our 8th-ranked 5 star didn’t go pro, but I *could* see him stay if there’s an upward trajectory throughout the season and Reneau goes pro. That opens up the 4 and gives him a chance to show even more on tape while boosting his draft and potential lottery status. Queen at the 5, Mack at the 4 and Liam at the 3 - is this #DreamB1G24?

Prediction League RESULTS Thread

Ugh. Looks like I have to pick against IU for me to have a chance at winning this. It’s not in my Hoosier blood! -
Same sentiment and his engagement on the bench is what leads me to believe he wants to learn and turn it around. I think the kid wants to be great. He’s going through his growing pains now, and that’s ok. I’m happy that’s happening now instead of later. He can still be very good and so can this team. Go Hoosiers.

My postgame thoughts are simple. I still believe this team can be scary good. The defense to start the game is what I expect it to be come January. Mgbako’s shot is so pretty he will become the desperately-needed 3-point threat. Coach screaming at X to shoot the ball and him nodding was good to see. Ware is really, really good. Malik has improved a ton, yet he still gets all “freshman” like with the ball at times. I think he corrects that. I wouldn’t want to play this team in March.

IUBB vs Army - Sunday, 11.12.23 @ 7:00 on BTN

Watched Woody’s postgame comments and it’s clear that he is emphasizing defense leading to offense more than anything. Half-court offense isn’t what he wants to run a lot, but when they do have to run it, it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of PnRs and somewhat of a motion offense. Based off his comments, the guys are not comfortable with one another/don’t trust one another yet. He has a good pulse on his team IMO. That being said, how he gets them to display more tenacity on D and togetherness on offense is yet to be seen. The pieces *can* work, but right now they’re not. It stinks because I do not believe any of us could imagine *this* kind of start. Please get going! -

I agree with what you said, and that’s the predicament. If you want to recruit 5-stars and late de-commits, as IU has shown they can do and will have to do in ‘24, he cannot sit. He has to make strides as soon as possible. -

What is perplexing to me is Galloway’s game. Where was he? What did he do? I saw no impact on the floor. That’s a “red-shirt” senior who is supposed to have taken a huge leap with no real impact on the game’s outcome. That and the lack of communication is what bothers me. The leaders have to lead. -

My concern for Mgbako is officially real.
