Our running backs are good, but just don't seem to have the explosiveness we've gotten used to seeing. I just expect Richard to get tackled around the 10 on a breakaway run. -
Rutgers had two fourth down completions on that drive where nobody on defense knew where the ball was until it was caught.

Being a little nitpicky here, but I really want to see one of our running backs bust a huge run for 60-70 yards and take it to the house. Seems like they always get pushed out around the 20 and the offense then stalls.

Illinois has been a strange lifeline for Purdue football over the years. Ryan Walters beat them in 2023 for one of his three Big Ten wins. Darrell Hazell won three Big Ten games at Purdue. Two of them were against Illinois.

I wonder if Minnesota wishes they'd gone for 2 when they went up 19-14 early in the fourth.

Minnesota beat them in 2014. This would, however, be only the fourth time they've beaten them since 1980.

Could we finally be ranked #1 next week? South Carolina jumped over us when Stanford lost and now this past week SMU jumped us after South Carolina went down. Do the pollsters just have an axe to grind with us? -
We were very banged up last November. The Maryland game it seemed like we had somebody heading to the locker room about every other play. Our bye week plus the Purdue game couldn't have come at a better time. And Richard is hurt right now because of a dirty hit out of bounds.

We got our first national title in basketball because Purdue wanted to go to New York City and play in the NIT instead. History has funny ways of repeating itself.

The Maryland job has to be open first. Maybe one of these days Locksley will be fired for real instead of via fake tweet.
