So let's say instead of Romeo it's a guard in the 75-100 range. Would a coach in any Power 5 conference risk their monster salary for whatever the booster thinks a low 4 star guard is worth? I think any coach would go get that guard. In the worst case scenario, someone finds out about the arrangement. The coach is fired with cause (no buyout) and never coaches again. In the best case scenario, the coach accepts some booster cash from an opposing booster to stay away from a talented (but not exceptional) player. This player would almost certainly win games for the coach and his team over a 4 year period, increasing the odds the coach receives an extension/raise or at least decreasing the odds that he's fired. Fun to think about but I just don't think it's ever something that would happen. The risk of career ending scandal is too high. To answer your question directly, I can't imagine it's an NCAA violation because it's not something the NCAA would be worried about. It's almost certainly a violation of the coach's contract though.

I’ll respond because it’s a fun question but not because I think it’ll ever happen. Unless that booster is T Boone Pickens, no amount of booster cash is going to get an opposing coach to pass on a player like Romeo. Archie could be the coach at Indiana for 20 years and that many years of $4mm+ salary is based on getting players and winning games. No coach would ever risk their future like that. It would be career suicide. Apart from the career suicide, coaches exist to win games. At a high level I imagine it’s almost a psychological need to win. Every coach wants to be the one smiling in the handshake line at the end of the game. Archie will be smiling in the handshake line a few more times this season because he has Romeo.

I'm not scared of Iowa mostly because I can't see Keion in cornrows. -

Higgs will almost definitely play more than 10 minutes in his career. -
OR announce it the year before and try pulling one last monster class of one-and-dones? "Last chance to play for Coach K" could be an attractive selling point.

I think the recruiting services are still catching up to Leal.

Underwood is having some trouble there. I think he’s a good coach though. -

Don’t these guys have Twitter fans put together the graphics for them? Highly doubt there’s anything to read into an image like this. -

I don't think they would have him do this feature if he was De'Ron Downer.

This is all getting a bit into the minutiae. I agree with the basic premise, which is: McRoberts playing 20+ minutes per game this year would signal we aren't as good/talented as we all thought heading into the season. -

He probably gets calls/texts/mail from 30+ schools at this point. Might as well stop the madness from 20 or more if he's not interested. -

You haven't actually provided any info as far as I can tell. If you think Juwan is more likely to enter the draft, then please share what specifically he's been hearing from teams. You keep alluding to information but you haven't shared anything. Guys with actual info here usually don't pump themselves up for 20 posts before sharing what they've heard. If you've been quietly observing the board for years you would know that.
