(2017) QB Tyler Lytle

I think he's still committed it says CUin17 on his Twitter bio spot Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Writing this because there is now NW thread yet. Also can I just say I had to take a break and delete the app after the game. I've come to hate all of the negativity. I had some posts typed up but refrained. The thing is.... We can still get to 8-4 and outback might be achievable. Heck even 9-3. My takeaway that I would like to share with everyone on here is that.... I bet most of you thought we would be 3-3 at this point. However we technically should be 2-4 if you think about it. Most of you thought oh we will start off 3-0 (just as I did). We never thought our defense would be this good and our offense be so mediocre. With that said we have had 1 bad win and 1 great win where the team won as a group. Offense showed up against MSU in OT. Okay so Lagow started off hot and cooled off as of late. But he still made plays and helped us beat MSU. Yes, Zander brought energy on the field this past weekend, but obviously they only trust his short throws (cough cough the screens he completed) if I was KW I would have done a PA streak or seam pass, defense would not expect zander to come in and throw deep.... But they didn't try it. Remember people Lagow is basically a freshman in D1 terms this is his first year at FBS playing level. Yes he was top JUCO pocket passer, but look at the rankings..... This juco class was not very deep at QB like we have seen in past years. He was #1 ranked pocket passer. 6th Qb overall in the top 100 (85th out of everyone). I'm not trying to make excuses, but I still support Lagow even if he misses reads here and there. Northwestern has some good LBs and that's about it. I love diamont, he could throw the deep ball in hs, but there's a reason he hasn't been in to replace Lagow for a long drive or distance pass plays. Yes, should we have backups in these situations.....but we don't. I would rather give Lagow the benefit of the doubt with this being his true first year in a D1 setting than pull the rug out and say Eh sit the bench boy.... We aren't going after any stud in this years class. The one we wanted committed and supposedly there has been no communication with him. So we have Lagow next year as a second year starter. Stay positive and I believe this team will get back on course and get to that bowl. With that said great environment against Nebraska. Keep it up hoosier fans. Luce is out. This is where I disagree. He led us over MSU and the play call did not help with OSU. Let's just remember that. Also if you want to see passing yards decrease okay you win. -

I have 5 tickets available for this weekend. Trying to help a family friend get buyers after she thought I said I'd take all 8. 3 are already spoken for (1 is me). They are section 6 row 17 selling for face value of $45 because varsity club gets mad if sell for higher. This is the view from the seats. I've sat here and love it. Let me know if you're interested. We can workout details. I'm in Avon so westside of indianapolis. -
Short and sweet. So during his presser..... Mr. Banker (aka dingleberry for nicer terms). Has said that "Coaching is a tight fraternity"....."word gets around". This is about IU stealing defensive signals. With that said is this said dingleberry trying to stir the pot? Also said "doing whatever they can do" So yeah. I'm ready for game day and to whoop some cornhusker butt.

I'm mad. I'm so mad by the play calling. I just cooled off and it took me forever so I didn't cuss up a storm. Yeah we gave up 38pts. But overall defense was solid. My friends came over and watched and they were stunned. Had no idea why we ran basically 20 straight times. The one time we go deep 50yd reception. Great job D you did your part. Kevin Wilson step it up. I usually don't call him out but my gosh that was freaking awful. I think a 12yr old travel team coach could have called better plays. -

And I agree they are on another level. However, we have a D that has improved. You can argue that we don't have the same offense and Id concur, but this is a different team for IU as well....we are a well rounded. Besides the 5 int game Lagow has put up great numbers for his first year in D1 ball. Our running game has not been what it has been in the past, but from seeing the pounding the duo of of Devine and Big Bacon has me looking forward to tomorrow. Also, our line who faced a pretty decent DLine in MSU handled it very very well with not having our whole right side again. Yes they didn't have their main LBs but Id say we did pretty well. Yes they aren't the Same MSU as last year playoff team, but we beat Rutgers just as bad last year....but we lost...why because of defense. We gave up 274yds rushing to Elliot last year... Why defense. We are the best defense OSU will have faced come 3:30 tomorrow. Onto OSU. They are talented, fast, and have great coaches. However, what we haven't seen is them slip at all and they may never slip up, or fall asleep on plays yet..... Eventually they will and I think a young defense will slip up this weekend. I'm not saying we go into Columbus and rout OSU, but I also don't think it is a blowout by 3 or more scores like others are saying. We for once have a team....a team that has played and finished complete games. I think this game is a close one again.... If we lose we lose by 10 or less.... If it's not that we get crushed like most everyone is saying and I look like a dumb fan as people would put it. Yes I'm being very optimistic I realize that, but I have a feeling our boys go out and play really really well together and make som big plays. Takeaways men, takeaways Luce is out. -

Buddy I got two words. Run away. Lol jk. But in all seriousness. I told my girlfriend (we were on vacation in Seattle), you are going to watch Iu with me at the bar. She watched a little bit of it and then was on her phone and drank champagne all night. Also, she said she enjoyed it more watching me stress, pace, and almost cry rather than watching the game. So I have that going for me. -

Bump. Since its football week and top threads are freaking bball stuff. So..... Still biggest spread in all of college this weekend and that's even with TCU vs Kansas. Yes Kansas had winning years in mid 2000s and finished ranked but as of late. Horrific. I mean awful. 2012-2015 7 wins. Anyways lets talk football even if we play the best team in the country this weekend. I'm ready to see coach Wilson on the shoulders of the players like Mallory was. If you can't tell I've been watching clips from 87 and 88 when we walloped them. Btw the date from when we won 41-7 10/8/88.
