I agree: if Wilson gets to six wins and wins a bowl game, he could attract the attention of a bigger program. I am not sure if there will be such a job available though, most of the SEC schools recently hired new coaches or are not making a change. If something did happen, I would be very comfortable promoting Coach Allen to be head coach. Speaking of Coach Allen, I think he's the one that we have to worry about with other schools sniffing around. Gotta keep him.

Interesting game here. Before the season started I was confident we would win this game when making my predictions. However, Penn State actually has an offense this season. Stats are impressive. Obviously they have a lot of talent given they are annually pulling in top 20 recruiting classes. Take away the Pittsburgh loss and Penn State is right there in the top ten. Our kicking game worries me. You can't leave points on the field. Also the lack of confidence could make CKW go for it on fourth down when he'd other wise like to kick. Do we make a change? We have to be able to run the ball if we want a chance. Penn State looks to be hitting their stride which makes the game even more difficult. However, our defense is playing lights out. CKW is going to have to be creative on offense. We have loads of talent at WR, need to put the ball in their hands. Memorial Stadium better be rocking! I hope it's a big crowd!

PSU is killing Iowa. PSU is a legit top 25 team. They will be tough but I feel if they were to be upset we are a good matchup against them, provided we play our best game.

If we beat Pur[emoji90] we will have four B1G wins. Beat PSU as well and that's five. When is the last time that has happened!? Take away the 68 yard TD pass on Rutgers's second possession and the defense played excellent. I don't care if this win was ugly, I am pumped! Bring on PSU!

Good bounce back in the second half. Defense played tough the entire game and got a good pass rush. PSU will be tough but I think we can hang with them if we minimize the turnovers.

I agree with you if the Friday game was a regular occurrence, but once every three years I see it as a second homecoming opportunity. Might lose fans who are coming in from a longer distance, but I think there's potential for a greater student attendance. It will come down to how much these B1G schools want to promote the game. Treat the game as a normal game and attendance will be worse. Treat it like a second homecoming, making game day on campus a festive atmosphere and it could work. Students are already out on a Friday afternoon on Kirkwood, get them to the game, then they can party afterwards. ESPN and the Networks will want to see this game succeed as much as anyone else, they don't want to broadcast a half empty stadium. Of course it all comes down to if the team is good. Everyone wants to go to a nationally televised game when your team is good. No one wants to see your team get crushed on national television.

Read the article: I understand the points but it's one home game every three years. When put in the context of a money grab, sure it looks bad, but I think there has been an overreaction. For B1G programs that struggle with lower attendance and that get consistently regulated to secondary cable channels, this is a good exposure opportunity and could act as a shot in the arm for attendance.

The only thing that worries me about this game is there is not much tape out there on new Rutgers QB Gio Rescigno. He hasn't played great the past two games, but he's a talented kid and was a four star recruit. Never know in these sort of situations.
