  1. Fun fact, Louisville has been the most valuable athletics program in terms of revenue the past few years, if I'm not mistaken.
  2. You mean, would Tom Crean like to coach in D1 again? Methinks yes.
  3. I just hope this doesn't lead the FBI to the bumper sticker money laundering scheme I created for Fred Glass in order to pay overrated players to play basketball for Indiana.
  4. Yeah, why travel 8 hours just to go to a different boon dock, amirite?
  5. Quick, someone warn @johnsoniu!
  6. We have been "in" with both for multiple years now, regardless of whether or not you believe Crean could land either. CAM is the exciting and promising new coach that took us from being an offer at a big time program with family/in-state ties to a program with a shot at being something special. I think the guy is clean cut, otherwise I doubt Fred would have hired him.
  7. You mean like every single aspect of being a fan of a sports team?
  8. If Archie is who we hope he is, assistants will churn and burn as they inherently benefit from his tutelage and reputation, but there will always be the next best up-and-comer waiting for his shot to learn from Archie at Indiana. Keep the captain on the ship, and we'll find new deckhands when needed.
  9. Yeah Painter is a good, tier 2 coach. I think we'll quickly see that Archie is in that top tier.
  10. Yes, but I think these recruits are quite in-line with the kind that Painter has been pulling of late, Swanigan excluded. He's good enough to make fringe 100-200 ranked players into a formidable team.
  11. I mean, that's pretty flippant statement about the defending B1G champ. Painter is a real solid coach who has demonstrated some improved recruiting and player development. They aren't going away, but I'm confident Archie will be more than they can handle.
  12. When we're forgetting about a 6'10" four start recruit because of all the five star recruits with heavy interest in 2019, something good is happening.
  13. When he committed, I thought he was 2016 because he committed before most/any of our 2016 class. Kid has been so hyped up about being a Hoosier. I'm definitely rooting for him!
  14. His mom happened to adopt five high major college football players? Wild.
  15. Coach K is scum and that entire program is scum. Their self-righteousness makes me want to puke. Maybe I should take this to the Duke thread....
  16. Why are you not surprised by his early signing?
  17. Yeah, plus what's wrong with having two stretch 4's on the floor? Let them both play in the post or on the perimeter, depending on what the opponent is throwing at us. Only makes it harder on the other team.
  18. Haha well, entertaining for some, obnoxious for others I am sure. I'm a bit of a shithead at times.
  19. Im posting less so I have to pack them in.
  20. People on here have quite the unwarranted grudge regarding Jerry Meyer. Everyone is upset he wasn't picking us for recruits over the past few years, and he was mostly right. Archie is here now, and recruiting should improve. I bet Jerry Meyer's perceived credibility improves around here as well...
  21. Crean ran himself out of town, and I think that's about as accurate as we can get in trying to describe his approach to coaching at Indiana. Jerome Hunter seems like Archie's ideal player based on the make up of his Dayton *Cinderella* teams. I'm real excited to see this kid play for Archie.
  22. Drexel is in Philadelphia... His point is Bruiser Flint has added value, and not just in relation to recruiting east coast kids. He's putting in successful work locally as well!
  23. Love it. Give Archie who and what he wants as quickly as possible.
  24. "Football is a dangerous sport" Which is why rules exist. If something that only provides entertainment is destroying lives, then maybe the importance of that entertainment should be reconsidered. The rule is good for everyone who enjoys football and wants to see it continue. "I think the rule changes or “evolving” are what’s causing the decline of ratings." The rules need to evolve with the athletes. They are a helluva lot more powerful than they were back when the game was played with a leather cap. I get it. I hate how slow the game moves with all the penalties. I think football needs to get rid of extensive snap counts and attempts to draw teams offside. It wastes so much time.
