  1. Folks, if rooting for college sports as a fan is where you’ve gone all in with your hopes and dreams, you may want to reconsider some of your life choices. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  2. “I’M NEVER WATCHING AN INDIANA GAME AGAIN UNTIL THEY TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY,” says local ex-high school football star. Sources report he’s also claimed that he would make a better offensive coordinator despite their only coaching experience coming 9 years ago during their fraternity’s co-ed flag football league. The Keg Krushers went 9-4 that season, missing the playoffs on a BS call by a GDI ref who probably just didn’t get a bid. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. I have a feeling they thought of that. Also, screw my friends, I’d go sit behind the basket without them! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  4. I mean, the only reason they were winning was LeBron as well. Lue was not a good coach. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. This is my stance a well. Plus, the university has hoards of paid legal professionals who more likely than not have some oversight into these actions in order to assess the school’s legal exposure the panel decisions may create. By all means, if he has exonerating evidence and evidence that the school unjustly ignores said evidence, file suit and force them to defend their stance. Although, that will create a public case in which all of the evidence and details of the sexual assault accusation will become evidence for the lawsuit. 6. Did he appeal the decision? Has it been 8 days since the initial decision or the affirmation after the appeal? Regardless, this hasn’t been happening for just over a week. This process has been underway since preseason. I don’t think any of this is as obvious as you want it to be, but it is my opinion that a lawsuit would already have been filed in order to get his name “cleared” as soon as possible. 7. That is my opinion as well. A lawsuit would already be well underway if he had evidence of his innocence or that the school did not follow a fair and legal process. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. He wouldn’t be proven innocent in a lawsuit. He would prove that the university violated his rights in some way. I wouldn’t know what would happen after that. I imagine the university’s legal counsel was already involved prior to the panel determining their final decision, and that IU’s legal counsel understood the position well enough to feel comfortable with any kind of risk of lawsuit potentially brought by Ellison. 9. I did. There’s still no lawsuit. Let’s see what happens, but I stated facts. He’s known the decision for a couple weeks now, and I would have expected action to be taken beyond vague public statements. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. Tapping out. I can’t understand why you all believe a university panel would decide to unjustly ignore exonerating evidence and then suspend a student for 2.5 years simply to virtual signal. I can’t understand why you’re unwilling to believe the accuser, who’s story and evidence convinced a panel of individuals, but you’re willing to immediately believe the accused who’s story and evidence failed to convince the same panel. None of it makes any sense to me and there a claims being made without any supporting evidence nor statistics, therefore there is no way to have an actual conversation about this. If Ellison is innocent, I hope he sues the school and begins the legal process to rectify his situation. Oddly, there is no lawsuit despite his “innocence”. Just as you all ask why the accuser did not place charges with the police, why has Ellison not filed a lawsuit? If he has evidence of his innocence and that the board improperly ignored it, a court will sort that out real quick. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. How do you know she doesn’t have proof? Why do you believe Ellison’s claims without any evidence, but doubt a panel of individuals? These are the things I do not understand about your stance. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. Why are you and others unwilling to accept the possibility that the university reviewed the evidence that none of us have and came to an appropriate conclusion that a college student engaged in sexual activity with a woman who either did not provide consent or was not capable of providing consent? 13. Stats to back up your claim that universities frequently fail to properly handled sexual assault investigations. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. “Virtue signaling is common therefore that’s the reason Indiana lied and suspended a student for a rape accusation he was not guilty of” Alrighty then. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Prison is a whole other set of issues unrelated to this discussion. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Get some stats in here to back up your claims. Actual rape is a much more serious problem. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. Mentioned Thomas. Indiana has put plenty of just fine basketball players in the league. Would definitely help to have more guys like Vic improving the brand of Indiana by succeeding in the NBA. Hopefully he can keep up his level of play from last year... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. You two actually believe that a board of individuals are willing to ruin a young man’s life for virtual signaling reasons? There’s just no logic in your arguments. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  19. Why would a school want to ruin the life of one of their students if they were innocent? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  20. Indiana has really never produced any significant NBA players outside of Thomas. Second tier is Vic and maybe some older guys I’m not thinking of. Gordon third tier. Then.... well not much. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  22. Indiana has only ever hurt itself getting out in front of things. Ignore it. Treat it like it's no big deal externally while investigating it internally. We all knew that Indiana's name would come up as blueblood and Adidas flagship. Clearly though, not being the favorite son of Adidas helped keep us out of trouble, but also out of recruitments and National Championships.
  23. It apparently didn't even include a scholarship offer, so...
  24. Was Indiana even actively recruiting SdeS?
