My only issue is...Then why not hold staff and team meetings after that has been finalized...they had to know there was a high likelihood this would be leaked and they'd have to address it if those meetings occurred before having all the details already ironed out. I'd never go to my larger team and let them know one of our managers is being fired/retiring/stepping away, without having all of those details ironed out first.

IDS Article this morning said "Indiana Athletics Spokespeople told the Indiana Daily Student they do not have any information regarding Woodson's status".... Osterman saying "nothing official yet around Mike Woodson's Future"..."Should the job open up"... Longer it goes...the more of a circus it becomes IMO haha.

My take...if things had been in motion for weeks, and you knew conversations were going to take place yesterday, with a high likelihood that it would be leaked...you would hope Dolson and team had done the prep work and would be ready to put out a statement or hold a press conference urgently to address, especially with a game tomorrow. The longer this goes with crickets from IU, has me leaning towards a scenario where we were caught with our pants down and unprepared for this leaking yesterday, and we are now scrambling. Will be interested to see what, if anything, comes out today.

So....when is this press conference or news release happening?

Curious why you are so certain he is going to finish the year vs. retire and step away. He very well could, and you could be right, but nothing has been announced yet. “Specifics”, “Announcement” still to come per everything I’ve read.

Did I miss where it’s been announced that he is finishing the season out? Most I’ve seen says an announcement on the specifics to come prior to Saturday? Seems like there is still a lot in flux here…

How does Woodson only "considering" a retirement align with the Brad Stevens plot... I just don't understand why the leak is that he is "considering" retirement...vs. just waiting until that's been decided and dropping it then.

There has to be a leak somewhere...come on. If student managers (will be the last to know anything) are leaking stuff, surely someone credible has something. Unless...just maybe, our media isn't as plugged in as they portray?
