  1. Looks to be deleted. What did it say?
  2. Not a dig at you, I've just seen this posted a couple different times in different places. What makes people think that it's pretty clear he wants to go to UK? Why not commit on his visit to UK then? Seems like he is seeing the process through, taking visits, narrowed it down to two and will make a decision after discussing with his family. But...I have not been following this one closely.
  3. Welp that was quick. I didn't even have a chance to watch his highlights haha.
  4. They can have 7-8, if we can get the other 2-3 haha.
  5. Thanks. But are we actually tied to any of those guys (Flory apparently visited/visiting)? I have seen them listed here, but is it confirmed we are actually pursuing, they have interest, visits, on any of their lists?
  6. Alright guys...besides Freeman and Dix, who else are we actually in on right now? Anyone else out there listing interest? Are we still in on the San Francisco kid? Any Flory news? Rodney Rice visiting? UCLA Mack still in play?
  7. Wonder if Payne will follow Buzz to Maryland.
  8. There is lot of time left in the portal season. A lot of players still to enter and visit. Many more will turn us down, many more will commit. Winning the offseason hasn't gotten us anywhere as of late. I know its hard given the last 20+ years, but I'm willing to have some patience, see how the next couple weeks play out and give CDD a chance to get the guys that fit his system, regardless of where they are ranked on x,y,z site.
  9. Saw a post on twitter stating Kaleb banks is down to UK, Purdue and Syracuse... But I am going to trust nothing that I see today on the interwebs.
  10. So Norton and Adams joining. Cliff Marshall announced on his twitter he's not being retained. Will be interesting to see what happens with Jody and Calbert.
  11. Different Adam Howard than the one that was on staff here under Woodson.
  12. Specifically, Adidas, Indiana Elite and A-Hope Foundation. EDIT: Hadn't searched or looked it up in a long time, but I can no longer find an A-Hope website. Mark is still on the Indiana Elite website as Program Director. Funny enough, just saw that Alan Huss (current High Point Coach), used to be listed as the VP of A-Hope.
  13. Wonder if we will we take a look / kick the tires with Kanon Catchings?
  14. Curious why Tucker DeVries hasn't been officially announced to Indiana yet, if that is the plan as we all assume it is. With the mass exodus, a little good news never hurts ha-ha.
  15. Don with a jab at Mike Woodson here while talking to Coyle... The two were talking about Don meeting with DeVries, and him specifically asking about the coaching staff. Coyle - "Did he know who you are Don, I mean he's just not talking to anybody, but he was talking to you" Don - "Yeah well, that doesn't mean a thing. Trust me. Ask Mike Woodson" https://x.com/IUfaithful89/status/1904592811631976706
  16. DeVries definitively has more D1 experience. But to note, McCollum is from Iowa City, raised in Storm Lake. I read that his mom has a degree from Iowa, he grew up a Hawkeye fan and it has been reported that's the job he wants. Will be interested to see what Iowa does here, and if they can pull DeVries from WVU.
  17. Should we be settle with hiring Iowa's backup? Not trying to be snarky...but I still feel like we can shoot hire than that.
  18. Goodman must still be waiting for his back to be scratched with all of those misses he's had that Tyme posted haha.
  19. Here's a question... I'm a college bball journalist with a decent following...agents approach me to put out buzz about their coach, to get them a raise, extension, or for their desired school to feel pressure to make a move. But...with a little kick-back if it works to their favor. Think this ever happens?
  20. I don't see DeVries leaving WVU for Iowa. I think a strong argument could be made that WVU is a better job, unless he just really wants to go home and coach at Iowa. Also, is Iowa going to pay his buy-out, up his salary and have money for NIL? WVU could match anything thrown at him I'd assume. Now, for McCollum...makes absolute sense.
  21. Posting for those that haven't seen it...not to get into a Wade should get the job over X candidate argument. In Goodman interview posted yesterday said he's not leaving McNeese for the first thing that comes on the track. Looking at opportunities, he will only jump if he feels like the staff, NIL and resources are in place to win a national championship. Wants to be at his next stop for a long period of time, doesn't want to keep moving his family, daughter, etc. https://x.com/TheFieldOf68/status/1900247841081082100
  22. I have been vocal that I'm not sold on McCollum and the risk there. But I think you can sell it to the fans (young up and comer, won at a high clip everywhere, basketball mind, respected by big time coaches, etc.) and I would rally, get behind it and cheer like hell. Brownell...that would just be so incredibly sad. Not sure how you justify or sell him to the fan base. I would honestly almost rather keep Woodson a couple more years, in hopes of getting someone better in a cycle or two, than hire Brownell. I'm not hoping for a coach that's been on the perennial hot seat and just a smidge better than Woodson (EDIT: I am aware Brownell made an Elite 8)...I am hoping for someone that can wake the sleeping giant.
  23. If it is Mccollum, I will still root like hell and support the program. But I will go on record that I am not sold. Humbling hire IMO. He will have all the resources and chance to prove a lot of us wrong. Which will be welcomed.
  24. BREAKING NEWS: Indiana Hoosiers hire Greg Tonagel as the 31st Head Coach to lead the Historic Program. All kidding aside, I remember a time when his name was being tossed around in prior searches haha. Surprised he hasn't tried to make the jump...must love small town Indiana, the community and raising his family there.
