Soo....a lot of really confident takes that we were getting him. How do we go from offer in hand waiting for signature, to Goodman dropping he isn't a candidate? Sucks...but still confident we can get a guy to turn this program around.

Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread. I know Woodson is gone, and we are already planning and thinking about the future...but I will at least give him credit, he was coaching his butt off last night. Worked the sideline, getting into guys and teaching/coaching. Kenya was also heavily engaged. The switch to zone was effective, MSU wasn't hitting...rotations were decent, guys were locked in. This team still can't seem to grasp when to foul and when not to in end game situations...and who to foul. We fouled at 15 seconds and 10 seconds, no where near the basket and before they even got into a set, causing us to have to clutch up and hit a couple more free throws than we needed to. Also, we didn't even try to deny their best FT shooter the ball on inbounds...but it ended up working out. The bench also showed life, excitement...hyping and encouraging each other. I don't think this team has rolled over and quit, when they easily could of just phoned it in given the circumstances.

Is Carlyle benched for life? He had the flu, and then hasn’t touched the floor.

Going to be a long couple weeks haha. Spring portal is open from March 24 - April 22. Final four starts 4/5 with championship game on 4/7. Will be interested to see how quickly we announce, especially if it is a coach in the tourney, to give them time once they are bounced to start working the portal.
