  1. Rob was having issues with his hip after hurting it in the second half. Favoring it pretty good. Hoping nothing serious....his tone from the get go sparked us.
  2. Team played really hard, too to bottom. THIS is the team they can be when they lock in. Free throws still going to give me a heart attack.
  3. For what it’s worth. Bench looks engaged. Green and Davis cheering Rob in banging that three. Smiling.
  4. Welp...he’s cut off from the family haha.
  5. Is this a knock at me? Nothing wrong with some skepticism..ive been given bad information before. Sorry for sharing what I was told... also aware of the fact that he could eat breakfast with the team but not attend the game.
  6. I agree. Family member isn’t at cook hall, but over at assembly. Was told he had breakfast with the team at Cook Hall. Now...Billy D also was in Bloomington supposedly. Would be disappointed if I was given bad information, but at least wanted to share it. Christmas gifts next year on the line here for this person ha ha.
  7. I was just told by a family member who works at IU in athletics, that Bobby is at cook hall currently eating, and will be attending the game. Still not sure what to believe, but I guess we will see.
  8. I was at the game, and honestly wasn't watching the bench closely. What did they do that would warrant a suspension in your eyes? Have seen something mentioned in another thread but no details.
  9. I know he hasn't been impactful thus far, but I feel like Rob has to start moving forward. Get him off the bench and starting at the 1, move Devonte off the ball to the 2, and let him have shots created for him in the sets vs. trying to create for himself. Pound the ball inside to Trayce and Joey, get guys moving and start to see in rhythm looks fall. Also feel like Justin could have an impact roaming the baseline like Troy did due to his athleticism.
  10. Wait, so it's just not us crazy Indiana fans! Win on a consistent basis and fans forgive a few down years here and there...fail to win at the level expected consistently, and you meet the pressure cooker. But I think that can be said about any blue blood / once blue blood program. IU is a good job...fans have high expectations, but most blue blood/once blue blood fan bases do. I want a coach to have confidence in his ability to accept the job and bring this program back, or don't walk through the door. There is a great story to be written some day about whoever is able to bring us truly back to prominence, and I still to this day hope that Archie is the guy. If he isn't, next man up....
  11. Alright, 19 pages is enough for now. The verdict is still out, some have doubts, some don’t. He isn’t getting fired this year IMO, even if the wheels fall off, and he will be on the hot seat if they do. I still have hope that Archie is the guy, and darn it I really want him to be. Let’s regroup and get this ship back on track. One of my 2020 resolutions is to be more positive, so no better place to start than here! This team has shown it can be competitive and beat good teams (FSU is darn good). Let’s handle Northwestern and beat a really good Ohio State Team Saturday.
  12. Even if the wheels fall off, I find it highly unlikely this administration lets him go. The issue is, we have a luke warm recruiting class coming in next year, and with uncertainty regarding Archies job (if we miss the tourney this year), why would any of the loaded 2021 kids choose IU? Unless Archie turns this year around, I don't think he recovers.
  13. Listen, I'm not saying Glass and Mcrobbie haven't hindered the program...but most people complaining have serious issues with Archie's coaching, inability to build a roster, etc. Glass and Mcrobbie aren't coaching, recruiting and developing the players. That is solely on Archie.
  14. Ole Tommy Crean about to beat Memphis on the road....SALT IN THE WOUNDS haha.
  15. Dakich also just tweeted he was waiting to see who he bets on until he hears the injuries news from TA, because it's "not good".
  16. Like maybe...a Greg Tonagel? Potentially the best coach in the state of Indiana, quietly winning, and winning, and winning. Recruiting very good players to come to little IWU. Crazy not even Valpo has given him a shot. Seriously though, I would love him as an assistant at a minimum.
  17. My positive take away...we don’t win these close ones in seasons past. Franklin stepped up big time. Two freshman leading the way today.
  18. We can’t escape this nightmare. Goodbye cruel world.
  19. Ex IU player, and was on staff for several years, served as Associate and Senior Athletic Director. Now the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics (AD) at Bradley, but had stops at Northwestern and Notre Dame and Michigan State. Have met Chris several times, and my mom worked close with him while he was at Indiana. Just an outstanding person.
  20. Wonder if Tom Jurich would be interested... Maybe bring Ole Slick Rick to Bloomington also.
  21. I don't know alot about Scott, other than him being an Indiana grad and IUBB manager and with the school for some time. Would people like this hire? Wonder if some will want IU to go completely outside of the Indiana family, i.e., no Chris Reynolds, Dolson, etc.
  22. Love the idea of Chis Reynolds.
  23. Is a lot of it precautionary, or the universities being overly sensitive to these types of injuries so they don't take a chance? I remember growing up, taking elbows to the head needing in game stitches, hard collisions, broken nose where I was knocked out. Not once do I remember anyone discussing concussions. Most of the time it was, "You good, okay get your butt back in there" haha. Speaking of bigger, stronger, faster players, it really is incredible how much this has developed in the past 15-20 years. I played on an AAU team that won multiple state championships and competed for national championships year in and year out, and remember slapping the backboard on layups as a 6-8 grader was a big deal. An athletic kid here and there could dunk, but didn't come across them too often. Now...everyone and their brother can dunk at a much earlier age. I also think the game is a lot quicker due to AAU moving away from structured offenses and sets, to more motion and pickup style ball.
  24. It was a bad one...his head bounced off the court.
