Well he jumps, and then his leg goes wonky and he's then limping and jumping on one leg for the rest of the time.

There are two PEEGS posters stating from different sources he's out for the CFP, one said "i can confirm a DL is out for the CFP, but due to HIPPA I can't confirm which one" The other was a guy at Kent State who said he's hearing that from the football team.

At first I thought it was nothing. But there's been a flurry in the last 3 hours of this bubbling up again with people saying he's out for the playoff. Cig did say there were no injuries to affect things going forward. I was hoping someone might have heard something.

I didn't mean this to be overly negative. I don't hate the players on this roster, I think a lot of them are good, just not very athletic. I know we are spending good money on the coaching staff, which is important. I'm just shocked at some of the teams spending more money that us, and I agree with most, it really seems like we are spending in the 10-20 range this year, and probably in the back half of that honestly.

Do we actually know if this is a real injury or not?

I started wanting to discuss this after Thanksgiving week (and then the hamster went on strike), when I saw a whole lot of the elite teams in the tournaments this week. Previously, it seemed to be a fairly certain conclusion that Indiana was spending a ton of money, and was likely in the top 7, and likely higher than that. However when I looked at our roster and compared it to several others over that week, I just didn't buy that we were even top 10, and thought we were probably closer to 15 honestly. Which still is good, but not what I was lead to believe. Then the Louisville game happened, including seeing a player who was interested in coming here and we got outbid on, and I just think that it's obvious this roster isn't one of those high end rosters from a talent (which to me means money) perspective. I think we appear to have spent around 10 million on this roster between rev share, and NIL, and there's teams I've seen that I think are spending double that or more. And several that are at least 5 million more, based on what their player look like athletically. Did some of the donors who were all in helping for Woody back out and take a wait and see? Is the Football success canibalizing the NIL. I'm focusing on NIL, because I think we are more than competitive in our Rev Share. I think that our investment in the coaching staff and those types of things are closer to the top than our NIL player budget. What's your thoughts?

So we know now that the team can perform pretty well hung over.

(2025) - C Andrej Acimovic to INDIANA
newcastle12 replied to Hoosierfanyuh's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Acimovic is a 6-foot-11, 225-pound center from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He turned 18 in March and has four years of college eligibility remaining. Seems like this was a Drew Adams specfic get. Beat out Illinois and Florida it seems among other high majors. Seems like he MAY be a bit smaller than listed according to reports, but a highly skilled big that's probably a year away from being a real contributor. Sounds like it may be tough to get him to campus before the Puerto Rico trip. Has played in the U19 pro league in Europe. Probably was the likely back up plan if Goode was denied. Solid addition this late it seems, will likely be back next year. -
Adam Howard - To UTRGV
newcastle12 replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Was he really insubordinate? Is that why he got fired, or did a paranoid coach think he was ratting him out to the AD and maybe a certain media site? Serious question. -
I think Mike Woodson won't get his flowers for what he personally did to contribute to this post count number.
-
I'd love for Goode to have a real season here, but I'm in different to him actually being on the team. I just find the basketball eligibility rules to be exceptionally arbitrary compared to something like Football.
-
Bummed he isn't suing as was hinted at. I'd like the dumb eligibility rules struck down.

I just assume that Trilly is like Curry Hicks Sage, and they process the info through burner world, and push what they feel are the most credible things they hear. They obviously have SOME sources that are legit. But the areas and conferences they have really strong info on are apparent.

I thought he was arguing the year he missed almost all of but came back late that he was under the threshold of games played. It was just in two spurts with one being very short at the end of the year. Football is so much better about this. You get 4 games, period. Doesn't matter when they are, and if you do that, you are good to red shirt once. Also applies to injury shortened seasons, but not to seasons where you just suck and sit the bench and don't play games.

You mean the beloved Hoosier who always floated around the second row on NBA teams, and concerns about the work ethic took him out of the running for a job they can barely get anyone to take at his Home Town didn't float your boat?

I didn't love the decisions that board was making with Alumni elections, and I can't imagine with an idiot like Bopp named to the board that anything is going to improve, and likely will be political and stupid instead of just incompetent.

Not on that site any longer.

Talking about that is getting people banned on PEEGs this week.

Rabby also said that he wouldn't get "spun up" about Hawthorne and the visit was a woman's player. -

That was the way I understood it, but I have no way to know that 100 percent. Others here might.

I was thinking back and I thought that I had my family physician do this in my sports physicals as well, but I don't completely recall that and thought maybe i misremembering. But it seems it was common around the time.

I believe he was paid out in full in part of all that mess last year, but I could be mistaken. Others would know more than me, but that is what I was lead to believe.

Transfer Portal w/IU Interest

I think the timing of the announcements when guys went into the portal seemed to coincide with directly after there meeting. That made me believe most of them were asked not to come back or were not offered the money they got previously.
