  1. I missed the local recruit part. Yeah, I know who that is directed at, not me!
  2. I never said anything about our best year. Just said I saw signs of fundamental basketball, and a team that progressed throughout the year, which we had lacked the previous 9 years. I'm not in the mood for fighting about a coach, I did enough of that the last 4 years Crean was here.
  3. Last year I saw a team that ran out of bounds plays, set screens, moved on the baseline, cut backdoor, gave effort on the defensive side of the ball. All were great signs of things to come, so I thought. I haven't given up on Archie, but I just don't see fundamentals this year, like I did last year. SEASON
  4. I guess that is a possibility.
  5. What the hell happened after the Marquette game? Million dollar question. We should all go back and re-read that game thread and reflect. This is bad, and at the same time can't be explained!
  6. A real concern I have......I have 5 kids(18,16,13,9,7) They all wonder why I like watching IU basketball so much. They tell me, "they suck, why do you like them?" Indiana born and raised kids nowadays don't get it like my age group does, or did?!
  7. I miss knowing we were going dancing every year! Man, to be a kid in the 80's again!
  8. I would still like to see Jake get some run! I'm not sure why we aren't using him, unless he is hurt. Dude seems to be a ball of fire whenever he gets floor time! This team needs a shot of wake the F$$$ up!
  9. I can't believe the refs missed the goal-tending towards the end of the first half! I honestly think that is when the game changed. Purdue closed the half out on a run and we never recovered. And for Gus and Jim to show the replay and say good block was egregious!
  10. None of this discussion matters, because our program has been cursed by RMK! Doesn't matter who the coach is, we are still going to suck for eternity!
  11. What the hell happened to Fitzner? He was burying threes in the pre-con schedule. Around the Arkansas game he fell off the face of the Earth!
  12. Hunter was in the running for Ohio Mr. Basketball, that is saying something about his game. I was actually more exited about his commitment than Romeo's. I thought Hunter was going to be a 2-3 yr. stud for us ,and still could be. If he is able to ball anytime this season, I would like to see him on the floor. I honestly believe he is the missing piece on this team this year! If he isn't able, medical redshirt and get ready for next year.
  13. Jeremiah Rivers anyone?
  14. The "black sweatsuit of doom!"
  15. Kaepernick thing for me! I don't care who it is as long as it isn't Nike.
  16. Doesn't the first sentence contradict itself?
  17. This is what I found. Rule 9-12.4 now permits either an offensive or defensive player to be the first to touch the ball in the backcourt when it has been deflected by the defense into the backcourt regardless of who was the last team to touch the ball before it went into the backcourt. This will correct unfairness in the past backcourt rule. Before, if a defensive player hit the ball into the backcourt, the offensive player wasn’t allowed to touch it giving the defensive player the advantage to get to the ball with ease, and in most situations get easy fast break points.
  18. Watching live, I didn't think Damezi was even close to the baseline. However, at the first break I went back and looked closer. I do believe the ball off his foot was touching the line. His heel was up, but it was very close. I thought the over and back was a missed call, but the announcers said you have to have control. I don't know for sure on that rule.
  19. I actually thought they let them play in the first half. The second half, on the other hand, was horrendous! I do agree with you though, college bb officiating has been horrible this year.
  20. This isn't over yet! We were losing last week at this point in the game too. Lots of time left.
  21. I hope AJ makes this a routine to keep coming to games! Damn, I miss his fire and passion on the court!
  22. No, he isn't cursed by The General, I think IU basketball is. I agree with your comments about the Northwestern game. Romeo did play very well. I hope we see more of that in the games to come!
  23. I love the kid, don't get me wrong. I was expecting more of an Eric Gordon offensive type impact to this team. What do you see that I'm missing?
  24. I don't see a player that demands the ball. One that can take over a game when needed. I wish he had that part of the game.
  25. Romeo's biggest problem, might be what we all like about him, his demeanor. He needs to have that killer instinct when he is on the floor. You can be humble when you aren't playing, but you have to have "it" when the lights go on!
