I guess I am a bit torn on the decision. But you either have to go all in on the punishment or do nothing at all. Otherwise it’s just lip service and doesn’t mean much imo. this certainly meant something, guess we will just see how ends up playing out because yes it’s a big risk given the state of the program

Don't mind alternates, but I couldn't tell you the last time IU won in an alternate. I still remember the Vonleh year IU wore a cream colored alternate against Illinois in the big ten tournament and Vonleh wore a bright white undershirt. It was hideous, and of course so was IU's play that day.

Yeah I am not sure I would say Al Durham was under appreciated by fans. He has a really low ceiling as a player yet we as fans understood what he brought to the program each day and were thankful for it. I know when he left the overriding narrative was that he was a positive aspect of this program for 4 years but it was time for both to move on.

I agree with you that according to the matrix the big ten doesn't have any bubble teams. But I think Iowa is certainly headed in that direction. And it is funny because IU is their only quad 1 win. If I am Iowa I don't feel to comfortable about that. At this point they only have 3 games left against teams in the field, and two of them are on the road (@OSU, and @Illinois). They do have MSU at home which will probably be a must win game for them.
