His Ppg going up like in the stats you produce have more to do with his usage rate than anything else his usage rate went up over 8% from year 1 to 2 and his shooting percentages dropped along with his turnovers increasing show he’s being less efficient the more he’s got the ball You can call whatever you want a leap. I see a highly ranked guy that didn’t perform up to expectations and is a bad outside shooter. He’s not a terrible player, and I’m not saying that. But if he wasn’t from Indiana you all wouldn’t want him so much to the point you’re(not you specifically) ragging on current IU players to try to defend him.

Agreed. If he wasn’t friends with TJD, from Indiana and a guy we were after no one would want him. Fact of the matter is he’s not nearly as good as what was expected, and hasn’t shown much to make me think he’ll take some kind of leap into his 3rd yr.

Not true at all. He’s terrible from the outside, and actually got worse from year one 26% to year two 21% from 3.

@Stuhoo and I had a convo when Woodson first happened and I was dead set against it and Stu was excited and I told him I hope I had to eat crow but I didn’t think it would work. I said it in another thread, but I’ll say it again. Now it’s a week later and I already think Stu was right. Lol

Last note for me, and it’s a funny story. JMV said his 11 yr old daughter had basketball practice and Trayce came through because Trayven was getting his ring and apparently his daughter and her team went nuts at the sight of TJD and they really didn’t get much practicing done the last 90 mins after that lol

Said that coach Woodson is going to be hands on with him and wants to work with him personally instead of having assistants and grad managers do it.

TJD said he was almost completely decided on going to the NBA and his family was dead set on him making the jump but said he would meet with the new coach when they were hired. So it sounds like Woodson was the reason he stayed and won over the parents too. He said his dad said after the meeting that he needed to stay.
