Finally Friday! Headed to Chicago this afternoon to see my first Blackhawks game in Chicago (lifelong 'hawks fan and have seen them play outside of Chicago, but never at United Center). Reservations at The Berghoff (favorite restaurant in Chicago), hit up a couple of bars, nice little getaway!

It’s my co-workers granddaughter’s first IU women’s game (she’s 5) in person!! Let’s win one for Charlie (sp?)

Not wanting to wade into this, but just because people get away with things that are wrong doesn't mean I endorse/agree/condone/etc. with that. Guys at work cheat on their time cards. I don't. I want a competent coach who represents themselves and the university well, who puts a product on the floor that is successful while maintaining high academic and moral standards for the players. Pipe dream? Maybe, but that's my 2 cents.

I just got so excited! We had a visitor at work who knows my IU fandom (he's not a sports guy), asked me what was going on at Assembly Hall, said there were a bunch of trucks and news stations. I honestly thought that Woody was cleaning out his office, but then realized it's all for the women's game tonight lol

Love a positive thread, it was getting a little grueling to be here! My wife is a pastor, and constantly reminds me that just the fact that I'm able to get up in the morning and function is a positive. I have so many positives in my life that I feel overwhelmed at times. Plus, I've really been trying to look at potential bad things with a positive spin. My daughter was ran off the road this morning on her way to work. Luckily, she remembered what we'd taught her about how to handle the situation, and came out unscathed (car was fine too!). So, instead of focusing on the "what could've happened", I'm choosing to look at the "what did happen". Thanks for starting this thread, much needed!
