That was truly not directed at you, as I don't ever remember you taking shots at the players for that behavior. I think that different people have different triggers for stuff like this. I am a HUGE anti-authoritarian (which is difficult as a manager lol) and this behavior last night hit me hard. If my employees said something like this to a customer, I'd fire them on the spot. But, it doesn't mean as much to others as it does to me, which is perfectly okay. I'm done w/ Woodson, I am supporting the team as much as I ever have, and hope for the best in the future.

What's funny to me is that so many who have called out X, Thomas Bryant, Troy WIlliams, etc. for their emotional outbursts on and off the court, but it's ok for Mike Woodson to act like a child (6th grader, trying to convince others he's the king of the playground)?

Me for one. I wanted him out as a coach, still had respect for the player and man. He deliberately divided the fans and used gaslighting to make himself the victim. The fans that were left reminded me of a political rally (any fervent rally will do)- you play to the questionless, blindly loyal fans and make them seem like the are the only ones who matter, then try to make them appear are the “average normal typical” fan. It pits the fan base against each other. Woodson’s arrogance really put me off any positive feelings towards him. Honestly thought Leal came off as petulant, and he’s one of my favorites.

The fans were eating up the true fans rhetoric that was very prevalent for the senior speeches. I told my daughter that is simply a psychological tact of us versus them and simply is trying to show people that if you do not support Woodson then you are not a true fan. Pathetic.

It's so surreal right now- I'm on the board probably 75% of my day (in the background, not just focusing on it lol), and read these super in-depth reasonings and arguments on both sides of the IU debacle. Then, when I have to interact with my co-workers, they do not follow sports at all!! I'm stuck in this bi-polar drag of uber fandom, and blissful ignorance lol!

I truly hope that next season is where we return to prominence under Woody. I have no animosity toward him, and truly hope he can achieve greatness. I am very skeptical but will support the team as always!
