This brings up a good point. How often do we beat teams with more talent? Maybe UNC had a bit more talent than us? Maybe. We often end up getting beat by lower talent that has a system in place and/or players who hate to lose. I'm still laughing Rutger dude talks **** and we lay a turd. I asked before but who on this team are you taking into a fight to have your back? We have talent but lack some of those types you need to win big. Our most talented players aren't leaders. (There's more to this but people would lose their **** here if it were posted) That leads to what we've seen over the past 4+ years even with a much more talented roster this season.

What is our standard? Our baseline for acceptable performance in games, for seasons, and for multiyear periods? We don't act elite. There are a lot of key indicators that says we're not going to get back to elite status anytime soon. We're 3-5 years of consistent upper half of the Big 1.o finishes and some type of "runs" in the tourney before we should be having this conversation.

Let's get back to playing those cupcakes so we can have a few players look all-world and hype the team up!! Burn the film because we ain't trying to watch it anyhow. Looked like a whole lot of just trying to play it cool and no worries about winning or losing, who has pride in their game and university on this team? -

We have them right where we want! They know they can make a run whenever so we have a chance to get back into it before losing by double digits. -

We're standing while trying to enter the ball in the post. It's not working so let's keep trying. That makes sense and has led to how many turnovers? -

It's been happening even in the cupcake noncon it was just easier to bury our heads because we were winning. It's not as bad as it seems and is correctable. I'm just unsure if it's been identified or others want to step up. -

Color me shocked! We went on the road and have had a turrble start. These refs! Err, this unusual basketball!! Err, this arena!! That's it. We need a leader in the worst way. How many years has it been? -

I believe this one comes down to being able to defend without fouling, not allowing runs, and making them pay for how they defend the post. It would be great to get some off ball action when the ball enters the post as I think Race fed off those easy buckets last season and it would give Kopp, Johnson, Bates, and others that much more room to shoot or drive. It seems the handful of times we’ve had good runs against quality competition this season have come from making threes. I believe that’s in part because our defense hasn’t been able to string as many stops together without fouling. As someone above mentioned, a great opportunity this weekend. Why cap it? It’s not like all programs followed the rules when they were stricter. What makes you believe they would follow a cap? Who will enforce it? Funny the article mentioning over and over the collectives not talking to CTA about players because that would “violate rules.” Not that it would matter much but love the little inject of Indiana being goody two shoes. You don’t have to tell us we can see it on the field. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

It’s been a joke on here for frustrated fans (imagine that, fans staying with the program after it’s SUCKED for the past two seasons) to vent. Why would you tell fans to move on? If every frustrated fan that mocked an IU or Allen phrase actually moved on we’d have a dozen fans in the stands and 50,000 in the tailgate fields. Move on, ha! That’s some good ish just like the “let me and the squad diss on the team but let’s not make this about how bad the program sucks.” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Terrible, hoping for nothing but the best. Ditto, rcs. I've had extensive lifesaving training in the past but basic CPR can be the difference in life or death and doesn't require much time/effort. I believe the classes are relatively cheap too.

UNC was #1 and now they're MIA.. college basketball
-
No CPR in those 10-15 minutes?

A coach is charged with assaulting a family member and we've turned to how that might help us with recruiting, seems reasonable...

Story breaks - people jump to conclusions without knowing the facts. This is not to downplay domestic assaults or choking a MFer if that is the case. Choices have consequences but due diligence is needed to assess and analyze. If he was in the wrong he should be punished.

Big 1.o officials are broken. "He was attempting to go over but cracked him in the jaw so it's just a common foul." WTF Just say you didn't want to call a Wiscy player for a flagrant 1 or you wanted to up the FRANCON level.

A Big 1.o struggling on offense, shocking

Forgot to give props to Xavier. They attacked the rim with the game tied late and left with the win. I guess they weren't featured on Sportscenter so did they really win?

Missing JHS definitely hurts. There is a reason he starts and plays so many minutes. I don't think it's the reason we lost at Rutger or against Arizona. Rutger mucked up the game and frustrated TJD while Arizona had the bigs to matchup with TJD. Who knows with a freshman on the road or in a big game like this whether he would have made enough positive plays to keep it within single digits. His defense is definitely missed but that doesn't help Gallo getting beat on a back cut, Kopp not being able to stay in front of his man, Race giving up back cuts, and us being unable to rebound. TJD came out of the game in the first half and the e and e completely changed. We started flying around and getting scrappy. TJD when things are going well he is fantastic. TJD when playing against similar or smaller size is fantastic. TJD when going up against size hasn't been great. Maybe JHS playing helps XJ who needs to figure out what's going on and start leading this team. When he goes this team goes. When TJD and XJ both are just there we can get taken to the woodshed by good to great teams. Are we a skilled team? Are we a team trying to out-athlete other teams? Are we a team that is incredibly disciplined and will beat you that way? What is our identity?

I didn't say we would win, just we have a better chance in that one. Arizona does a lot of the things we want to do they just do them better and have more talent. 2-2 in our recognizable noncon games. We snagged the bottom 2 of those and still think we have a punchers chance at the Phog. If we start like we did today or TJD just disappears we'll get blasted.
