  1. Thank you for providing further evidence to whoever was comparing the size of high school gyms in BFE Indiana to uni gyms in Queens.
  2. And in BFE Indiana would you rather see BFE High play a basketball game or go to Broadway?
  3. Is it even for the football team or for 24 sports 1 team?
  4. Any particular reasoning or just wanting to witness it?
  5. A system and culture can go a long way when you recruit to it. Wiscy and purdoodoo are prime examples of this. It definitely helps they play in the Big 1.o.
  6. Very true re: getting Rutger at the 'wrong time.' They just lost to Miami on the road, any team with a pulse had beaten them to that point, they needed time to jell with Mulcahy back, they were defeated the next two games by a few points, etc. They needed Indiana at the right any time to get right. It's the title we hold as a blue blood that we get everyone's best game. Completely agree, IU deserves credit for the Xavier win which is an amazing win the same that IU deserves getting clowned by Rutger in their lone win in a 4 game stretch.
  7. That's tough without defining the criteria. I thought some of the wins during feast week (?) and in the preseason tourneys were great. The ones you listed are up there but I enjoy a great massive underdog winning (when it doesn't involve IU) like the Northwestern State at TCU upset or E. Illinois at Iowa wins. I'd even throw the Nebrasketball win at Creighton in there but that has lost a bit of its luster with Creighton being turrble and Nebrasketball being a little better than turrble. Along with some of the big games in the preseason tourneys I like the big time noncon campus games too that you listed.
  8. Program status playing a role or excitement of the game?
  9. Assuming criteria is something like highest ranked/rated teams beat on home court? How about Wake over Wiscy in the Big 1.o - ACC challenge or whatever team picked over TCU earlier in the year? Where would you factor in games like Colorado (I think) over Tennessee (not sure home or semi-neutral), Seton Hall at Rutger, E. Illinois over Iowa?
  10. What would matter?
  11. Agree there are whiny power conference coaches. Don't want to lose their jobs for missing the tournament, huh? I don't think making a 90 team tourney is going to significantly change decisions to fire coaches by universities. It's going to be an expanded First Four feel to get into the first round of the NCAA tourney. If programs are fooled into maintaining a coach because they were the 90th team when they should be much better I guess that's on them but hopefully IU doesn't adopt this philosophy.
  12. Wish Patrick McCaffery gets the help he needs and takes the time to focus on himself. Find your health and happiness!
  13. Curious about your top 5 wins this year. Care to share the top 5 or top 5 + those in consideration?
  14. Two solid games to choose. Did the amazing ~.500 ball to end on a high note last season and an absolute embarrassment at the hands of St. Mary's enter your mind or were those games too negative to factor in?
  15. You would hope the NFL has BC processes in place to deal with these type of situations. (I would expect franchises are paying teams quite well to deal with these situations) This could have been part of their process to handle a situation like this. Replace this scenario in which the stadium has to be quickly evacuated due to weather, stadium conditions, or some other random disaster forcing a stadium full of people out in the streets 2 hours before support staff are expected.
  16. I wonder what the difference in total cost for a gym in Queens vs. BFE Indiana, add to that competing interests in NY and the surrounding area vs. BFE Indiana.
  17. Recent (the last several years of data) history? We got Xavier at the right time, players coming back from injuries and jelling. Obviously didn't know that at the time but Miller addressed some of their issues and they've improved recently. We have more basketball talent but only one or two dudes who could play for Rutger from an attitude standpoint. Some people look at the positive where others look at the negative. Others hope for the best (positive), prepare for the worst (negative), and acknowledge the reality.
  18. Are conference tourneys not the start of postseason play? Is this the NCAA's attempt to get a little more money and control before their eventual demise?
  19. Touche, outstanding reasoning.
  20. That's truly remarkable. One day, after several years of consistently competing and winning under a good coach, I'll get the feeling of having a chance in those type of games again.
  21. How many people truly felt we were going to win @Rutger or neutral vs. Arizona in the second half? The only uncertainty for me was the final margin of defeat. This team doesn't have "it" and it shows. That doesn't make we're a bad team (we're not Minny or NW bad, although they could beat us on the road) but it does mean we're just somewhere in the middle of the Big 1.o.
  22. Using the same logic, purdoodoo (#1 in the coaches poll) would be #13 in the AP. That seems to make sense
  23. Not just HOW we lost to them but HOW we looked losing to them. Glad Woody brought rebounding up in a recent interview. I’m sure it’s not the first time he’s mentioned it to the team but several on here brought it up in the first handful of cupcakie games. Unfortunately, our ceiling is limited by what’s between the ears and that hasn’t and won’t change with this group.
  24. They went 2-10 to 12-2. We went 6-2 to 2-10 and had our historic turnaround already. Unfortunately, our historic turnaround was back to par for IUFB and LEO
