  1. Whether its your day or not, is mostly about your attitude. Carpe Diem.
  2. Indiana vs. Rutgers   Full stats, slick on the team for each of their stats.
  3. Looking forward to the game. I admit trepidation, but if Suds is back and is 90% good to go in all aspects, we should have enough to beat Rutgers at homecoming. The team should be hyped for that, and be determined to get that 5th win. If we don't find a way to make something happen out there, I'm going to really start to get worried about the program. Let's just get it done.   Stat that stands out to me. IU and Rutgers are statistically on different ends of the turnover advantage. Hoping our opportunistic young players take every advantage of mistakes.
  4. In the end, neither of them are ready to QB in college. They are both projects, and preferably should not be on the field. As for the timing, playcalling, etc., Cameron would gain a lot of that through experience. But not in a week of practices. Diamont hasn't shown that he is excelling at any of those either. He may be ahead of Cameron there, but he also has more experience to rely on. The one area that Diamont stands far and away from Cameron, is his ability to make plays with his feet. It looked to me, however, that he wasn't looking to do that a lot against PSU. I wonder if that wasn't a coaches call, due to lack of depth at QB, and Zander's size just seems to make me think he's vulnerable to the big hit. He's very good at ducking the worst of a hard hit, but there's always the one you don't see coming.   Overall, I do see more upside in Cameron. Not that there is a lot to base that on. But on the numbers, I'm not extremely swayed by them. Cameron made some good passes, and looked better than Zander doing it. Our receivers did neither of them any favors on a few passes. Cameron's INT looked to me to be fully on the WR.    Conclusion. I really, REALLY hope SUDS is good to go for the rest of the year.
  5. Also from what I am seeing, Suds looks like a real possibility for this weekend, Howard, not so much. Diamont is out for at least a couple weeks. Finally some news on Dominique Boot, apparently has had a hand injury, redshirt a real possibility.
  6. Manny RandhawaVerified account ‏@MannyRsports  4h4 hours ago Kevin Wilson says receiver Isaac Griffith tore his ACL and is out for the season. #iufb   That really sucks. Griff was starting to get some catches.
  7. Zander and Cameron have always been projects. IIRC, there was a real problem recruiting for a bit at QB because we had three experienced and capable QB's, two which transferred. There were not a lot of QB's willing to come in being 4th string for a couple of years right off the bat. They took Diamont. Those two transferred out, but by the time Roberson made the decision, he had us royally screwed. Diamont is a guy who would do OK as a reshirt junior or senior, but even then he's probably going to have to fight for a job. He might win then. Cameron is a walkon I believe and definitely a project, although I thought he showed that he might develop into a decent QB down the road.
  8. I really am not sure of the ins and outs, but I'm pretty sure the redshirt is just gone.
  9. Agree on Cameron as QB over Diamont. Love Zander but Danny looked more poised, and probably a better arm. Here's to hoping Nate is ready to go Saturday though.
  10. As far as passing went, I was probably happier with what Cameron showed. Nothing great, but he actually got things moving a time or two.
  11. And if a defense doesn't have to respect a passer, they can just key on him. He doesn't have the playmaking ability of a Tevin Coleman. But I really don't get why ramming your helmet up a O-lineman's butt is supposed to get you anything.
  12. As of right now, 10-2 is the best that they can do. Will it happen. I wouldn't lay a solitary dime on it. But they are capable of beating any team on that schedule, although I'm getting really stretched to say that when it comes to MSU and Iowa. But any given Saturday......
  13. From my understanding, I think odds are good Suds are back, but Howards injury was worse, and of course, a week earlier.
  14. Alright, there isn't anyway to put lipstick on that pig. If either Suds or Howard are a go, we could have worked without the other, but it obviously ain't working without both. Love Zander, but I think I'm going to stay with him where I was at the end of last year. He might be alright as a redshirt junior or senior. Redding makes a good #2 back, but its like he never sees anything except where his hole is supposed to be. Not enough speed to take it outside and outrun the D.    A few good plays from the D, and a few big plays given up.    I really hope Suds and Howard, but at least Suds are back for next week.
  15. Was hoping for a ugly win, got a ugly loss.
  16. If we burned his shirt just for this game, then yes, its probably a waste. If he was somebody that was going to make the field anyway, not so much.
  17. I think the stafff looked pretty hard at Juco and HS Qbs for this very reason. They didn't find anyone they believed that would help them win.
  18. Oh, ok. Not sure, thought he had already burned it, but not sure.
  19. Well, its either him or Boudreax. I don't think that burning King's redshirt would have ever been a option.
  20. Well, that one isn't on the QB.
  21. He is a walkon, I believe, so he's fine as a project.
  22. Is there any team besides Iowa that actually stands out this year?
