Well, IU needs to pretty much forget about the OSU game. There were a lot of encouraging things in that game but it was still a loss. Take the good things and build on them, the bad things and improve on them. I'll take a ugly win over a loss any day.

Don't think the coaches ever quit on him. Obviously, he's getting a lot of attention. -

Oh. I'm sure. Also why MSU is number 3 now. Surprised they didn't drop another spot or two. -

In other Top 25 news, OSU lost 11 first place votes, MSU dropped to 3rd, NW jumped up 3 spots, Michigan remained the same, Iowa jumped into the Top 25, Wisky dropped out and Illinois gained a pair of votes also. Lot of B1G activity there. -

Well, the running it up the middle didn't work at all. After Suds came up gimpy and just wasn't getting anything on his throws, the OSU D didn't have to respect the throw. I'm sure they recognized something was off, because even before we knew he was injured, it was obvious something was wrong there. Zander isn't the throwing threat that Suds is, and for him to be successful we have to change the playbook up so much that you pretty much have to have that done in a whole week of practices. You would really think that our O-line could do a bit of a better job opening holes for Redding, but if OSU doesn't have to respect the pass, they can collapse the LB's into the box and close them to fast. We did try running to the outside after a while, but that is not Reddings forte. If Suds and Howard are not ready to go next week, we need to have a whole variety of screen passes, fly sweeps, slants and other short passing plays set up to open up the running game. One of the things CKW mentioned a few weeks ago about the difference with this offense and the 2013 offense, is that this year we use the run to open up the passing game. Our receiver corp is coming along, but they are not on par with the 2013 group at this point. I will say, if Suds and Howard are not 80-90% for next week, I'd rather they be benched and make sure they are ready for the week after. -

As far as the fake punt goes, I don't have that big of a problem with the call. That was a matter of execution. Toth ran to the wrong side of the field. Notice the bumfoozled look on CKW's face after that play? As far as not calling a TO, what would have been the point? We ran ourselves out of plays on a 4th and goal with time expiring. Leaving time on the clock would have only benefited OSU if we had scored. I have no problem with the call there. Things play out a bit differently, it could have bit us, but it didn't. CKW is no UM, but UM is no CKW! -

I know there is going to be a lot of bitching about this game, but tell me anybody thinks we would have lost Howard in the first half, Suds playing injured and out of the game in the third, and that we still would have a last second chance to win it. -
Heck of a game.
