    Well since a terrible team put up 36 points and 516 yards, it must be because a Doug Mallory defense can't stop a team full of geriatric patients.

    You know, I was counting on Mallory to make Purdue look good so I could win the prediction league.   Well, he's making them look good but they managed to suck out loud long enough for us to get a big lead.  Thanks, Doug.

    They pretty much doubled that on two pass plays.  There's that vaunted Doug Mallory defense.

    On a side note, if Purdue gains 79 more yards we'll have the worst D in conference history.  Because of course we will.

    And no, Doug Mallory, just because Purdue can manage to out suck your defense doesn't mean you can keep your job.

    Wow, Purdue is so awful they make a Doug Mallory defense look good.   That takes a very special level of f&$*#!g terrible.

    Yeah, Purdue sucks.  Although sadly I wouldn't put it past a Doug Mallory defense to make them look unstoppable.

    I'll give a reason:  our defense is a crime against humanity.  We shouldn't lose, but I wouldn't be surprised considering we managed to give up 42 points in a snow storm.

    Our only chance in this game is if they were so excited about getting to chance to hit triple digits in points against our D and couldn't sleep last night so they get too tired.

    There's the IU defense we've all come to know and scream for Mallory to be fired.

    Not really.  We were down 18 with like 4 minutes to go and they let off the gas.  It really wasn't as close as the final score showed.

    By one back offense I thought you meant an offense where one workhorse back gets the bulk of the carries.  Running back by committee is using a different back on pretty well each down (i.e. one back on 1st, and switch him out on 2nd, etc).

    Running back by committee helps limit wear and tear on each back though, and seems like it's becoming more and more common.  Granted there are times it seems like it doesn't really allow one back to get in a good groove.   The up tempo offense isn't doing any favors, but the defense could help itself some by not being utterly useless on 3rd down.

    How did we not get a tackle there?  Oh right, our defense couldn't stop a pop warner team.

    Screw that.  Doug Mallory hasn't earned that kind of respect.  He's earned getting fired publicly, re-hired, and instantly fired again just for laughs.
