  1. There are plenty of fan bases that really don't want IU to land a good coach. They're loving Woodson right now.
  2. I hope we land a good coach. Crean hit his ceiling but all we've done since him is get worse. I'm afraid to say we won't do worse than Woodson l, the way this program has been run the last 25 years they'll just hire a guy that watched an IU game 40 years ago.
  3. I'm not. Last time we went down this hole we ended up hiring a guy no one wanted because he played here 40 years ago. It'd be an exciting hire, no doubt, but he'd be leaving a really good job. Even May would be leaving a good job at UM. I've got reservations that either would make the move.
  4. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/illinois-at-iu-basketball-the-report-card-mike-woodson-gets-an-f/ Gives Woodson an F, for his tenure. Shocking, I know.
  5. Armond Hill woke up late from his nap.

  7. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/curt-cignetti-says-kurtis-rourkes-knee-was-a-concern-throughout-the-2024-season/ A little more about Rourke
  8. I'm in the "believe it when I see it" camp on Stevens and IU. That poster was talking about Virginia and I think they have as much a chance with Stevens as I have with Jessica Alba.
  9. Looks like it's behind a pay wall.
  10. UNC had fake classes and the NCAA didn't care.
  11. I'd take a two run bomb. Chris Stewart once "struck out" with 2 strikes because he forgot the count and walked back to the dugout and no one stopped him, that's what we have now.
  12. We got dog walked multiple times, and destroyed at home, this year with 6m in NIL. Imagine assembling a roster with 1/6th of that, with Mike Woodson coaching... I'm confident it would in fact be worse.
  13. If that was the case a pressure cooker job like IU would be less than ideal for him. And Buckner didn't do any favors for his friend or the program.
  14. I can recommend a head coach for them.
  15. Send a cake made with laxatives, it'd be more entertaining than watching him coach.
  16. I thought having the likes of Matta gave hom a better chance, aside from that I hated the hire because it was laughably bad.
  17. I don't care about his ego and the decision makers shouldn't either. Their concern should be the program and by that standard he needs to go.
  18. Sounds an awful lot like doing the same things and expecting different results.
  19. This team isn't going anywhere. It gets a crappy coach out and IU can begin a, hopefully competent this time, coaching search. Also keeps the crowd from getting more toxic.
  20. Ending it immediately would be the smartest thing they could do short of inventing time travel and making a serious hire in the first place. EDIT: This is IUBB, which means the smart thing won't happen.
  21. He's right that things need to change. He wouldn't like the change that needs to be made though.
  22. Don't forget IU has gotten really really good at excuses. Woodson completely destroys whatever foundation the next coach may have by being clueless? Built in excuse.
  23. IU is afraid of the optics, they don't want to look mean. Hire a crappy coach no one else wanted? Have to keep him, it'd be mean to fire a former player even though many people today aren't old enough to remember those days.
  24. https://www.heraldtimesonline.com/story/sports/college/iu/2025/01/14/third-ex-iu-basketball-player-joins-lawsuit-names-current-team-trainer-tim-garl-brad-bomba-team-dr/77685545007/ In the lawsuit by former players alleging abuse, it was amended and named Garl as a defendant.
  25. Everyone responsible for Woodson still being here (and even hired) should be forced to watch this debacle. They chose this when they hired a coach no one else wanted then retained him when everyone could see he needed to go. This is their fault.
