  1. That would take time away from golf and wine and cigars.
  2. Similar to his HS recruiting.
  3. It'd probably take another blowout loss.
  4. Oh I definitely agree the younger crowd remembers them more for what's happened recently; the players exist only in dusty black & white photos to them. Woodson had already shown he's a lousy coach, but Buckner wanted his buddy to be IU HC regardless of what it meant for the program (and if he didn’t see Woodson was a lousy coach it just shows he had no business being involved at all). Woodson wanted to be IU HC regardless of what happened or he would've resigned by now, he wanted to be HC didn't need to put in the work because friends were/are protecting him. Personal interest over the program; ironic since we've said they didn't want someone bigger than the program after RMK.
  5. While I wouldn't go so far as saying villains, I think they've shown that whatever love they have for the program is secondary to their personal interests. When it comes to being coach, I don't give a crap about Woodson's legacy as a player; he deserves to be fired not a save face retirement. He should've been fired last year but IU loves to give crappy coaches too long because they care about optics to the detriment of the program.
  6. I don't think they're dumb enough to hire one of these assistants as a full time coach. Do I have any faith they wouldn't completely botch a regular search? No, not after the last 25 years of buffoonery.
  7. https://hoosierstateofmind.com/indiana-hoosiers-dynamic-duo-at-wide-receiver-announce-return-to-bloomington-for-2025-season-01jhr2psjmj3 Cooper and Sarratt back
  8. IUBB has been so horribly mismanaged the last 25 years that'd it's kind of impressive, you almost have to try to be that awful.
  9. The way Indiana has been run the last 25 years, squeaking in the tournament as the very last team and losing by 40 would get him year 5 and maybe an extension. IU has been so incompetently run it's hard for me to get hopes up they'll so the right thing at this point.
  10. The way Indiana's been run that'd mean year 5 of Woodson.
  11. Maybe we should keep Woodson so this thread hits a record number of pages.
  12. When no one else wants you then you probably shouldn't be named head coach yet here we are.
  13. I'd have to find someone, because I wouldn't be able to keep pulling for IU at that point.
  14. As an interim to finish the year, whatever. If they hired him full time then I might root for Kentucky; fortunately that won't happen.
  15. Armond Hill. Just kidding, that'd probably make us miss Woodson's coaching.
  16. There was literally no demand for Woodson. If they thought that they might be even dumber than I thought, but it would explain the last 25 years of gross mismanagement.
  17. I wish I was that confident.
  18. Like Mr. Magoo finally finding a staircase.
  19. Beard is a good coach and I think he'd win here. If he has drinking problems then a job like IU wouldn't be a good fit, and I think some have posted he has issues that haven't been public.
  20. "There's nothing wrong with the process"
  21. Can't say I blame him. A coach that knows what they're doing could get more out of him. Same with Tucker, and well much of the lineup.
  22. He's got a horrible case of "lousy coach".
  23. I'd like to say no we couldn't, they only hired him because he played here. If he played at Oregon or Miami or anywhere else he never even would've been considered. Of course IUBB hasn't exactly been competently run the last couple decades.
