  1. You forgot Curtis Jones. Him and Davis have the same ability to help IU the rest of this season. I see OSU with five rated 79 or better (add Williams). IU with two in the top 77. Additionally, I’m guessing that Jackson was pretty good in Juco. Freddie was only good enough to start in Juco for about 1/2 of his two years there. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. DeRon Davis is out for the season. He was not top 30. Both Diop and Tate were top 30. Morgan was 102 and Smith is a freshman who was 75th. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  4. I know that everyone was (rightfully) focused on the Purdue game, and I know that the odds are long in this one, but if we could somehow pull off this upset, it would be conference win #6 with a much easier schedule going forward. In other words, it would be an enormously important victory.
  5. Oh my goodness; with that tweet he could be an effective, cranky-a$$ BtwonBanners poster! Love it.
  6. I am surprised too, because I've always sensed that Magic has not had the mindset to deliver clear, concise criticisms such as what he did here. So, good for him!
  7. One more really tough week for IUBB, and then the rest of conference play consists of Rutgers, Minny, Ill, Iowa, Nebraska, OSU at home. In other words, one of two this week would be extraordinary in furtherance of a 9-9ish conference record. Tues., Jan. 30 at Ohio State Columbus, Ohio 7 p.m. ESPN2 Sat., Feb. 3 vs. Michigan State Bloomington 8:15 p.m. ESPN Mon., Feb. 5 at Rutgers Piscataway, N.J. 7 p.m. BTN Fri, Feb. 9 vs. Minnesota Bloomington 7:30 p.m. FS1 Wed., Feb. 14 vs. Illinois Bloomington 8:30 p.m. BTN Sat., Feb. 17 at Iowa Iowa City, Iowa 2 p.m. ESPN/ESPN2 Tues., Feb. 20 at Nebraska Lincoln, Neb. 9 p.m. BTN Fri., Feb 23 vs. Ohio State Bloomington 8 p.m. FS1
  8. No, pretty much the only way it can be explained is that he regularly sticks his leg out and deliberately trips people. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. He’s being interviewed by an IU fan site. That’s gonna be the dynamic in that article. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. I wish and hope they go to a game at Vandy. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  12. Oh good lord that’s so much better than what we have. I need a time machine to put him in Candystripes now. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. Traveling: The Freddie McSwain way of preventing blocked shots. I like it! [emoji2] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Now from a more reputable source, and end of season makes more sense. Do I see Dane Fife warming up in the MSU bullpen? Adrian Wojnarowski‏ @WojVerticalNBA 1h1 hour ago Sources: Tom Izzo will announce upcoming retirement in the next few days. Izzo intends to finish the current season, sources tell @TheVertical.
  15. Correct. On the other hand, Barstool could spawn even more attention and spotlighting of Izzo, so i suppose Barstool could create a self-fulfilling "he's gonna go" prophecy of sorts.
  16. Would be a "WOW" ...doubt it's true.
  17. The "old stuff re-examined + new things coming out" combo jumbo with cheese would completely change the dynamic.
  18. Maybe so; those are certainly good examples of your point being true. However, there are also examples of famous people who skated, even in this new day. I kinda think Izzo will skate.
  19. It could hurt recruiting, and based on what I just read, could mean the end of D'Antonio there. Izzo? Bad news, but no real new revelations. Much more a shinier spotlight on old revelations. He'll muddle through this; maybe with a few bruises.
  20. Welllllll...while we all agree that it is well past time that we re-instituted regular Purdue beatdowns, this is probably the wrong year to proclaim that you're not here to #@&* around vis-a-vis the Purdue game. Not especially confident there's much that can help with the huge mental and physical talent disparity between us and them. Prepare yourself; when you see Freddie McSwain leaning on Haas you're gonna get that queasy feeling.
  21. And I’m not a Crean hater- I think that Wade has a lot of common strengths with the strengths of FCTC. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. Geez Alaska, stop being so touchy; he said he didn't name your name! (See Natty... you were right) ;)
  23. He is baffling them with bullshirt. A hyper-caffeinated red bull-fueled hard sell about all the great things they're gonna do. He tirelessly contacts them with visits, visions, and texts full of imagined grandeur. It's not unlikely that he is a good guy that believes his own vision. Just like Tom Crean. On the other hand...who knows, maybe he's also delivering no-show, high money jobs at boosters' companies to the friends and relatives of recruits (that happens sometimes too in the $EC).
  24. Have you ever tried to learn about Will Wade? The farthest he ever got as a player was ... team manager. He is a "student of the game" with a fast-paced offense and little ability to coach high-level defense. He is hyper-caffeinated; a salesman who wears out his welcome. He. Is. ... Tom. Crean.
