  1. No: More productive than Priller, Gelon, et al is no longer the standard. Langford wants to play with high end teammates, not a stablemate. Sean East is a nice high school player, but if we offered him we would be laughed at. As a walk-on? For sure. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. Terrible job by the BTN studio director for the game. Doing cheesy skit after cheesy skit is Nebraska's prerogative; giving it camera time on every occasion was optional.
  3. God bless it our guys play hard. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  4. Luegentz Dort looks at Simi Shittu and says “man, you got some massive cojones.” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  5. There is a Vandy recruitment that absolutely reeks; if it isn’t tarnished with a payoff to someone affiliated with the recruit I truly would be completely shocked. And it’s not the Romeo Langford recruitment. It’s not the Darius Garland recruitment. Simi Shittu is an British immigrant to Canada, who is playing at a prep school in Vermont. He was a heavy Arizona lean, but when Book Richardson got busted, he canceled his Az visit. All of the other blue bloods, even UK and Kansas, wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole thereafter. He committed to Vandy on his only visit. You’ve gotta be kidding me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  6. Northwestern Maryland had Bill Raftery last night. Why can't WE have Bill Raftery (said in my most impatiently whiny but it's true voice).
  7. I think that this is absolutely correct. I wouldn't expect any pay-for-play matters to drop until after the federal indictments are adjudicated, which could be many, many months or more due to judge ordered pre-trial discovery restrictions.
  8. A great name check, and a great song connection for this year's IUBB team:
  9. I can see both sides. If he really IS a diamond in the rough with a good attitude then he might shine next year; it's happened. One thing I AM sure of: Archie and staff know the real deal, and will act accordingly.
  10. If you guys think that things are good now, can you imagine if Collin's shot gets fixed? He looked healthier last game, and therefore it could happen.
  11. Disagree about the "absolutely." Jake Forrester is also a high-ceiling player. At 6'10" and after a year with Cliff and Archie he could be really, really good, or he could still be really, really raw. Won't know until about next February.
  12. Clifton Moore has gotten a fair shot, in that if he exhibited potential to help the team with athleticism, understanding, and effort, Archie would be putting him on the court. Instead, he has not been put on the court even in blowouts. To me that is not a good sign for his future at IU.
  13. Would love to see TJD at IU, BUT I'm not convinced that a freshman TJD will be a better player than: A sophomore Jake Forrester A redshirt sophomore Race Thompson A freshman Isaiah Stewart, Aidan Igeihorn, etc.
  14. Roby had his coming out party in Assembly Hall last year. Ugghh. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Miles was even able to buy some love for Crean on IU boards when the two of them went at it. Curious- why hasn’t that big Jordy Thsimanga (sp?) developed much? Thought he looked like a pretty high level talent. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Welcome to the board Husker; great to see folks from other fanbases make an appearance! I, for one, am quite pleased that Crean is gone. Now if we can get only get Miles out of the conference; guy bugs the crap out of me. He’s like a shorter, angrier, older Matt Haarms. Edit: Haarms might be older. 17. It’s not true as described, but there are surely ways to have back-channel communications with a player that’s backing out of his commitment. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. Atta boy, johnson. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. A whole lot more of absolutely nothing. It’s pretty much the same thing the Langfords have said about all three schools; before we decide we’ll give you one last chance for your final pitch. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  20. DeVonte Green makes me very optimistic. I was not a fan; thought he was an undersized two guard. I am now hugely impressed at his willingness to adapt, change, and mature, and the coaching staff’s ability to get him to buy in. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. FWIW: the Vandy message board is reporting that their student section was about 50% full on Saturday, that the crowd was silent for most of the game, and that the Langford family, including Romeo, showed no emotion and didn’t stand during the entire game, even when the game got exciting and Garland was cheering. In other words; the exact same signals that drive some IU fans to rash conclusions. I tell ya’; the posters that I am most in line with are the ones who say that the Langfords are playing this out exactly like they said, and good luck figuring out what they’re really thinking. 22. So so very very good to hear. Without any doubt the post of the day! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Every single point in that article makes sense. IMO, the substance of this article is not what gets some posters so much grief, it’s the absolute certainty and smugness that brings grief, no matter whether it’s expressed as a “done deal” for OR against IU. 24. Haarms is more than a little bit mentally imbalanced. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
