  1. Landino will be back. I'd imagine Tyrique will be back and not go pro. Damn that's a high quality top two. We need two more rotational guys; another veteran pickup and we should have a developmental guy like Garcia or Hall coming up that will ready for a role.
  2. Because we picked up two safeties yesterday.
  3. They left Enright and Conerway unguarded on the perimeter early and the two of them scorched them from deep. Enright is a career 36+% 3pt shooter on volume (2-5 last night), so he can't be left completely unguarded. He also had nine assists and zero turnovers last night. And he took two charges. He was IU's game MVP. Btw, after Conerway and Enright hit a bunch of threes they came out on them. Conerway then blew past people to the rim and Enright got into the lane for a ton of assists. A better strategy for Washington? Play good team defense one through five to pressure, deny, and help. They don't do that because "Danny Sprinkle." Woof.
  4. To me this is a clear sign that the staff knows more than is readily apparent. Means that Evans, Lynch, and Ajani are locked in, that we are high on some of our young linemen, or even maybe that Carter Smith could be back for the right price.
  5. Didn't post in the game thread, but very much enjoyed this game. Some thoughts: Connor Enright is a very, very good basketball player. The kind of player that would be a rotational player on national championship teams (this team won't be). Teams that win invariably have guys like him that aren't featured but contribute to winning. Danny Sprinkle is a terrible P5 basketball coach. Just terrible. Gave off Woodson vibes in scheme; bad shot selection, regularly disconnected on defense. A high talent, big money roster that still doesn't win. And after the game? In his post-game presser, he didn't seem all that bothered by the performance. This felt like a game where Devries won with his roster, and if he had the other guy's roster he would have won too. Either Sisley or Dorn is one of our five best players - in certain situations where matchups allow we may be able to go without both Alexis and Bailey. They are very good long term building blocks and will be featured next year in a major way. This IU team is so good against bad defensive teams, even when they are good offense teams. This IU team is going to continue to be bad against good defensive teams, even if those teams are bad on offense. We could absolutely beat a team like Purdue or Illinois, but a team that defends like MSU is going to be a massive challenge. 11-3 and 2-1 in conference is nice! Would also be nice to build a little cushion by winning at Maryland before things get really real.
  6. Ummmm.. this is an underrated great get. He’s a Coogan buddy and a good football player. Coach Buddha gonna get the most out of this kid.
  7. Substantially better with Socka back. Doesn’t seem to be any give up tonight. A very young team. Starting Two frosh and two sophs. Not gonna beat Maryland on the road under any circumstances. The future is very bright.
  8. Just looked at a bunch of times when Sanks has been interviewed. Super likable kid with a permanent smile plastered on his face.
  9. I fixed it for you—forgot to add; when you paste with the word twitter, paste as plain text.
  10. Three ways: 1) The ‘only the link, not the visual’ way— cut and paste the link. 2) The easy way with the visual, but others can’t access the link—screen shot the tweet visual, cut and paste. 3) The full access way—cut and paste the tweet link with the letter “x” replaced with the word “Twitter”
  11. I think that’s more of a guarantee than a guess.
  12. “Us and MIT are never going to be able to compete in this era.”
  13. Khobie is okay with not being one of the top two? Assuming Beebe is not staying then
  14. Did he just visit? Him, Turbo, Khobie, and maybe Beebe seems like a lot
  15. 1. Apparently that is not the Oklahoma locker room door. 2. It was (and is) indeed a pretty good sign.
  16. I like this quote from Fickell from when Zachman got injured: “He was the leader of the defense,” Badgers coach Luke Fickell said Nov. 3. “He was making most of the calls and was just that cornerstone. It's been one of those things we've had to be able to overcome and had to spread out some of that (responsibility) the last seven weeks.”
  17. He does not. Him and Staes are both out.
