  1. One has nothing to do with the other. Freddie is not Hanner...AT LEAST I HOPE NOT!
  2. Flying Freddie. Fly Freddie fly. Fast Freddie flies fearlessly. For fearless flying Freddie, flying feels fun. Freddie's flying feet float five feet; freakishly far! Fly Freddie fly ... forever. Flying Freddie.
  3. He'll be the 10th/11th player in the rotation absent injuries. If he can fill that role with extra energy and athleticism, he'll be a good grab. Welcome to the starting lineup Mr. Oguagua Anunoby.
  4. Stan had different plans when the lights went out.
  5. Translation? "Kansas State. We suck".
  6. When Freddie tweeted that he was visited today by Bruce Weber, an IU fan responded with a tweet to Freddie that linked to Bruce Weber's "fist" speech! Good times.
  7. Visit over. The IUBB player he is now newly following on Twitter is Troy Williams. That's a sign, me thinks.
  8. Okay then. Shut up, lonnie.
  9. It's also important to note that geographically we are the third closest big time major team coming after Romeo. Louisville is really, really close, and Kentucky is also a bit closer to his hometown.
  10. I think you might be missing my point. Those kids were far and away among Crean's biggest mistakes. FAR FAR worse recruits than someone like Tim Priller. Why? Those kids were NOT college students. They all played at Indiana, not for Indiana.
  11. Sampson can have Devin, Hanner, Hollowell, etc, etc.
  12. Looks like Nick Zeisloft is 13th all time for Lyons Township scoring leaders. FYI...Niego is 4th all time. Nick's best season in HS was 20th best in school history at 439 points. His junior year he scored 323 points Grant scored 404 points his senior year, and 402 his junior year. I have no idea how Grant will do as an IUBB designated shooter, but his high school stats are more than comparable to Nick Zeisloft's.
  13. "Freddie. Stick with me, and you can be one of my eight 'rotation knuckles'!"
  14. Sayeth DeRon, when asked about the NCAA tournament: "I already knew they were gonna beat Kentucky. That wasn't that big (an accomplishment). I had them going all the way. That's my school".
  15. Just sayin' ... Nick Z was not all that great a shooter during his 1st two college years at Ill St.
  16. He obtained his college degree and it's time for him to start his adult life. That may or may not including being paid to play basketball.
  17. ^^This^^ If we want him badly, ain't no way we are losing a recruiting battle to Bruce Weber and KState. FWIW, I wonder if Freddie cleared that "pre-Troy commitment/announcement date" with the IU staff.
  18. Grant Gelon has the exact same size, and a similar skill set to Kyle Hornsby. However, Kyle was a small town superstar in high school, Grant is more of a big school co-star.
  19. Bad knees. Bad defense. Great jumpshot. Good rebounder. Nice person.
  20. Troy's length is average at best.
  21. FROM THE WICHITA EAGLE NEWSPAPER: Neosho County forward Freddie McSwain set to choose between Indiana, Kansas State on April 24 He will announce his decision at 5:30 p.m. at a ceremony at Neosho County The countdown has begun. Neosho County forward Freddie McSwain will choose between Indiana and Kansas State at 5:30 p.m. on April 24 in a ceremony at his junior college. That gives him 12 days to reflect on his recruiting trips to Manhattan, take an official visit to Indiana and then make a decision. He may need every minute. As of now, his two finalists are on level footing. “Each school can develop me more, and they see a lot of great things in me,” McSwain said by phone. “They can help me get to the next level and increase everything about me.” McSwain, a 6-foot-6, 220-pounder, has become a sought-after recruit in recent weeks. He was also previously considering Auburn, Illinois State and Bradley, as well as UNLV. K-State surged into his top two after a pair of visits to Manhattan. “It’s a great place and a great environment, just a great community,” McSwain said. “I had a great time there and I enjoyed everybody. Even the coaching staff felt like family. I just enjoyed everybody there.” McSwain is also high on Indiana, and will check out the Hoosiers’ campus next week. The visit begins Monday and ends Wednesday. One advantage K-State may have in the recruiting battle is associate head coach Chris Lowery, whom has handled McSwain’s recruitment. He has a unique connection with McSwain’s father, having played together at Southern Illinois. “They were just catching up on good old times and stuff when I was on a visit there,” McSwain said. “It felt good to see my dad connecting with an old friend and having a good time.” The Wildcats have one open scholarship following the transfer of freshman guard Ron Freeman. McSwain is K-State’s top target to replace him. A versatile player capable of playing both small forward and power forward, he could get significant minutes immediately with the Wildcats. “They say they don’t have a guy like me,” McSwain said. “I can play some big minutes there. I have two years left and they know I am a junior-college guy trying to play. For Neosho, I was a three and a stretch four. Probably at the next level, I will play more three. I will be working on my outside game a lot.”
