Sounds silly, but that's kinda true!

Compared to Naples, Florida, the geriatric hometown of Napleshoosier, it sure as heck is! :)
-
So you think the Morgan visit is going well?
-
Seems like juwan saying he could decIde by the end of the weekend means it is Vandy or us. If it was 100% Vandy I don't think he'd make the trip, and I can't see him announcing his Vandy commitment while in Bloomington. If his official visit ends and he goes home without pulling the trigger for IU, the Vandy chances skyrocket.

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU

WayneHoosier (my friend); First of all, if you have schoosier 'liking' your posts too often, that means you may have overreached into the land of negativity ;) Next; Do you realize that our likely starting lineup for this year is: Two 5* and three 4*, with a 4* as our sixth man, and three 3* and a successful grad transfer as our seventh, eighth, and ninth men in? To directly address your point...I think we basically agree on the proper recruiting model: That model is: a five star and long term four stars as the core of the team, with a three star or lower turning into a plus rotation player for every four/five star that either doesn't turn out or leaves early. Problems arise when either: -> The five stars leave for the NBA too early (we've had that issue), -> The four stars crash due to injury, grades, homesickness, or just plain lousiness - and we've had too much of that (Patterson, Fischer, Hollowell, Creek) -> None of the back bench three stars turn into quality players (here, we've done way better than expected with VO, Will, Devin, etc.) -

Holy crap...three to five five stars?!? You realize that in any given year there are only about forty or fifty five stars playing in D1 (the others have gone pro long before their four years are up). You think that IU should have ten percent of all five stars playing in a given year?!? "We are Indiana" is correct. We are NOT Kentucky, putting a team on the court of exclusively mercenaries who, to a player, have NO intention of obtaining a college degree. And thank goodness for that. -

This will be our fourth straight year that we add a McDonald's All-American to the team. Not every recruit we get is a big recruit, but we sure as heck can land the big recruits. -
Could be: 4) Tired of being recruited 5) Girlfriend's birthday 6) Boyfriend's birthday 7) Grandma's cousin's uncles birthday 8) SATs 9) High school event 10) Big test 11) High School Robotics Club/Glee Club/Debate team senior trip weekend 12) Grandma's cousin's uncle's wedding to member of Robotics Club/Glee Club/Debate team

Yeah; what CampCrean said. Juwan Morgan is a very squared-away, intelligent young man. Instead of handlers, he has education-focused parents. He's not moving these visits up on a whim, but without handlers it is unlikely the public will get a PR tour guide to his travels ala Ray Kasongo.

I kid you not...here is the culprit; Ms. Meghan Dills: -
Mr. Morgan has an apparent interest in excellent academics.

Mann is more of a wing. Shake is a college pg. T. Mann is a top 100 player, a great athlete, and the son of a D1 head coach. He is no ones backup plan. -

Anyone with an opinion on Crean is dumb and feeble-minded. Now, lock 'er up! ;)
-
Ooohhh!!! One more post filled with name calling and bashing and this crappy thread gets locked?!? Read carefully my friends: Tom Crean's feet stink. mdn82 is a poopyhead. Jaybob's mullet is dull and lifeless. ccgeneral's use of emoticons is beneath him. Stuhoo is perpetually annoying. Tijan Jobe has TERRIBLE form on his 3 pt. shot, and is a disservice to ligers. That oughta do it. Lock 'er up.

It's because I got taught good grammer. JMO. Hoosier forever. Go IU.

More wisdom Coach Crean has picked up from various IU message boards: 1) Replace Dwight Shrute haircut with a rockin' mullet! Jaybob 2) Use them new-fangled transistor radios to scout opponents. John Freed 3) When all else fails, drink heavily! KyleHornsbyRules 4) It's hopeless. We suck. IUfanCharlie 5) Trade Joani for one of my 12 ex-wives! 5fouls 6) Run Sloan-screen 45, dammit! GoColts 7) We may not always play well, but the players are...dreamy! MrsBigCodyLukeMaxPope 8) Pssst: If these players let you down, there's a three star in Schenectady that I have good video on. ccgeneral and hoosierpap

1) The B1G is likely, top to bottom, the best conference in America this year. 2) Winning streaks against ranked B1G opponents are GREAT evidence of improvement and accomplishment. 3) Standing by the team through thick and thin is a good thing. A very good thing. (As long as your team is working hard, working toward college degrees, and is accepting coaching). 4) The Hoosiers are playing three guys out of nine or ten rotation players who had rotation minutes in college basketball before this year. My expectations for the team this year were that they would take plenty of lumps, but that as the year progressed the offensive spacing and ball movement, turnover ratio, team unity, defensive rotation and help-side defense, and decision making would all improve, and that would lead to more wins. That is currently what I see going on. Won't happen every game, but it's happening.
