Thought we ought to have a place for pre-game and in-game thoughts. Buckle up boys and girls; Bellarmine is much less of a cupcake than some of our in-season pastries!

Purdoodoo is a Haas or Swanigan injury or foul-troubled game away from not being a very good team. I'd take Michigan or Ohio State over them in the B1G standings this year for sure.
-
As of this morning the suspension is up to six games. Purdoodoo has some nice pieces, but the heart and soul of that team last year, their absolute locker room leader, a high-class kid who played with focus and intensity (but not many offensive skills) and an All-B1G defender is gone. That team is already missing Ray Davis big-time.

Arrested in June with weed, While asleep at the wheel with his foot on the accelerator, AT 9:53 AM!!! Oh...and apparently, he neglected to tell the coaching staff that any of this happenned. The young man likely has some real personal issues.

YOGI TIME??? Ohm YoungmisukESPN Staff Writer Jeremy Lin has a strained hamstring. The Nets say he will be reevaluated in two weeks. Rookie Isaiah Whitehead, who had five points, four assists and four rebounds in 20 minutes the other night, could see a big boost in playing time until Greivis Vasquez and Randy Foye return. -
Yes! The few, the proud, and the underappreciated. johnsoniu, I need some support here! I shall leave you with this - Preach on, fine clown, speak out forever:

Nothing personal, but as a White Sox fan, you have just expertly summarized the entire Chicago Cubs experience. Thank you.

Court docs reveal more on Purdue guard Cline's arrest Probable cause says Purdue guard was passed out with foot on accelerator, revving the engine, when police found him in June incident. Buy Photo (Photo: John Terhune/Journal & Courier) STORY HIGHLIGHTS WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue men's basketball opens the season with two important contributors suspended — and both were involved with incidents including a vehicle and marijuana. Purdue announced before Tuesday's exhibition game against Southern Indiana that sophomore guard Ryan Cline has been suspended for three games for a violation of team rules. Cline missed the exhibition, and also will miss the closed scrimmage vs. West Virginia and the season opener vs. McNeese State. Junior forward Basil Smotherman was previously suspended for the same three contests. According to an affidavit for probable cause, Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy Kenton Mustain was dispatched on June 27 to the area of Dunbar Road and State Road 38 just north of the intersection for an unresponsive person locked in a black Lexus. Mustain said he found Cline unresponsive with his foot on the gas pedal and the engine revving. Mustain said Cline did not respond when he knocked on both the driver's and passenger's side windows. Mustain said he could not tell if Cline was breathing or not and thought he could be in medical crisis, so he decided to break out the passenger window. After breaking the window, Mustain said he unlocked the door and turned off the ignition. He then performed sternum rubs to wake Cline up and called for medics because Cline "was not readily responsive and extremely lethargic." Mustain said he smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. Mustain said he found a plastic bag containing green leafy substance as well as an orange prescription pill bottle with a small amount of green leafy substance in the middle consul cup holder of the Lexus. The total weight was less than 30 grams. Mustain's report said the violation occurred at 9:53 a.m. According to online court records, Cline was charged with one count of possession of marijuana in Hamilton County on July 11. He entered into a pretrial diversion program on Aug. 5. Smotherman was charged with possession of paraphernalia after a June 5 traffic stop in Hancock County. He has a pretrial conference scheduled for Dec. 1. "It is unfortunate" Purdue coach Matt Painter said after Tuesday's exhibition. "You want guys to flourish and take this opportunity and springboard not just into a great career but a great life. They have an unbelievable advantage on other people having this opportunity, but also, there has to be some order. These things can sometimes be a blessing in disguise where some guys have some public humiliation. "… You want it to not so much be a punishment as a consequence." Cline played in all 35 games for Purdue last season as a reserve. The Carmel native averaged 3.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.6 minutes while shooting 38.5 percent from 3-point range. Painter said the suspensions provided an opportunity for other players to step up on a competitive roster. "Three or four years ago, we didn't have a bunch of players," Painter said. "We have a bunch of players. If people don't want to do what they're supposed to, like tonight, other people play. That's on them. I think we've got some guys on our team that they lick their chops when things like that happen." Purdue also played without sophomore forward Jacquil Taylor on Tuesday, leaving them with seven active scholarship players.

Position-less basketball! Bryant will guard Mason, Newkirk on Lucas, and MSB will be out in the parking lot pouring sugar in Bill Self's gas tank. -

Our point guard is 6'8", is a great team leader and spokesman, has hair like Kid N' Play, and rebounds really well now that his shoulder is healed up! lol. -
