  1. My list? 1) Billy D 2) Sean Miller 3) someone under 45 years old
  2. That, and the IU folks who were mean to his sister are much farther in the rear view mirror.
  3. YES! And THAT is why Tom Crean and Steve Alford have consistently won big and gotten to the Final Fo...huh, what?
  4. Oh great. It looks like Treesh is "person G." ;)
  5. Holy crap. One season on the team and this guy gets a say in the search decision?
  6. HEY *******...ARE YOU IMPLYING THAT I MIGHT BE THE GUY?!? BECAUSE THAT KIND OF **** **** **** IS ******* ME OFF Purdue Person AND I'M NOT GONNA ******* TAKE IT ANYMORE!
  7. This. (Except for the very inconsequential impact of annoying the shizbit out of tweet and email recipients).
  8. High quality human being. Quirky, manic personality that did not jibe with the IUBB culture. Results could have compensated for those deficiencies, but they weren't there.
  9. Not busting on you, AZ. Since the topic of benefits to the players of our coaching candidates has been raised: "The Ball boys already are riding in style — at least the two that have driver’s licenses. Lonzo and LiAngelo each drive $100,000 BMWs, said Ball, who is a self-employed personal trainer and whose wife, Tina, is a middle school physical education teacher."
  10. One thing I can (I think) accurately predict: If the Alford-led Bruins beat Kensuckity on Thursday night, it will be a 100% win-win. More than ever.
  11. Good point, and at least in part, my bad.
  12. Isn't your daughter only like six weeks old? Don't commit to doing this too fast...you have time to decide! ;)
  13. Hoosier1321 is the real deal on the 247 board (along with HickoryHoosier). Doesn't say much. Speaks the truth, even when he has to qualify the info. Hoosier1321 posted near the firing day that Donovan was one of two horses in the race. Then three days ago, he posted and later deleted this nugget: 3 days ago - Hoosier1321 said... (original post). You are all grossly underestimating the interest in Alford. It's like this board refuses to believe the information ...
  14. I don't know who it is... But if I was in Vegas and was offered a large sum of money to put on any one candidate, it'd be Alford.
  15. Not that he's who we'll end up with, but for those of you who think that Fife accomplished nothing or has had next to no head coaching experience, below is the "before and after" record of IPFW surrounding Dane's five year stint as a D1 head coach: 2001–2002[3] Doug Noll 7–21 2002–2003[4] Doug Noll 9–21 2003–2004[5] Doug Noll 3–25 2004–2005[6] Doug Noll (3–13) Joe Pechota (4–9)[7] 7–22 2005–2006[8] Dane Fife 10–18 United Basketball Conference (NCAA Division I) (2006–2007) 2006–2007[9] Dane Fife 12–17 6–4 3rd The Summit League (NCAA Division I) (2007–present) 2007–2008[10] Dane Fife 13–18 9–9 5th 2008–2009[11] Dane Fife 13–17 8–10 5th 2009–2010[12] Dane Fife 16–15 9–9 5th 2010–2011[13] Dane Fife 18–12 11–7 4th 2011–2012 Tony Jasick 11–19 5–13 T–8th 2012–2013 Tony Jasick 16–17 7–9

  17. Bennett or Collins would be lovely. Seems like Alford is far more likely!
  18. For me? If not a dream hire like Donovan, I want youth, like Archie, Collins or Fife. I know I'm in the minority on Fife, but I'd prefer him over a proven non-superstar coach. At least with him I get the hope that we've located someone special.
  19. Buckle up, y'all!!! FWIW...from a 247 poster with supposed credibility and connections: IUwins0708 I fear the dream is dead..... sorry folks
  20. One of the best coaches in the entire history of the game. However, he is turning 63 years old this week, so I can't see him being any kind of real option.
  21. Damn straight. It just might be as simple as that.
  22. Golden State up 19 just before the half at OKC. Must be depressing for the OKC coach to be THERE, eh? Or...the OKC coach's heart just isn't in the game tonight.
