  1. Fantastic-Plant is 77 and his voice still has resonance—don’t smoke young performers and this can be you. He sings under the super high notes but otherwise he still has vibrato and everything else. Also—props to the Colbert show. The sound mix was pristine.
  2. lol … not just you Chris— all you guys are acting a little jaded! It is entirely possible that they found a soul mate in each other that made looks largely irrelevant. As a guy who has been happily married to my far better looking best friend for 26 years I am a testament to its possibility.
  3. Likely put a lot of work in to earn the Zoom opportunity. We would have loved to get an in-person I’d assume. Instead, we’re a cursory outside chance that has no real chance. We aren’t like Michigan, that has player agents coming to them. We’re more likely a well-financed non-option that can raise the bidding market. To me the most viable path to success is finding athletic prior underachievers like Mustaf and developing them. The Dukes and Michigans don’t need to roll the dice on a kid like that.
  4. MSU has the perfect role, coach, and track record of success. And we wouldn’t be the only school willing to match financial offers like similar lesser programs. To me this seems like wasted effort by the staff—I don’t see any path here.
  5. I frequently pick out “To Live Is to Fly” on the guitar. Townes is the best, and he couldn’t sing worth a sh!t so me croaking out his vocals doesn’t seem sacrilege. Pancho and Lefty, and Wichita Lineman the two greatest Americana songs ever written? Wouldn’t hear an argument from me.
  6. Road to Zion’s insider predictions:
  7. We kinda don’t really have a major brand in basketball. Football? Yes.
  8. Is this a revelation? It’s a Captain Obvious thing: we have been a mid program for decades. Not sure why a player that is wanted by UM or Duke would choose IU.
  9. Not true. But what is true is that far more successful programs like UM, Duke, Arizona, etc get first choice.
  10. A first team Big East all defensive team is really nice. Probably be at a bit of a family discount too, which allows for more spending on other needs. As part of the guard rotation?1,000,000% yes for me.
  11. Khobie Martin is starting to give off that Aiden Fisher ‘best dude on the team’ vibe.
  12. Tyler Cherry + Khobie Martin +++++++++!!!!
  13. Very likely that Dorn stays; if Dorn was gone we’d know by now. For me, the intriguing thing about Dorn is that he had the foot fracture and couldn’t train going into last season. Hoping that a full offseason allows him to improve his athleticism.
  14. QB Tyler Cherry appears to be a full participant. Pretty good news.
  15. Granted that Chandler is a Utah native, but it also sure seems like Mark Pope at UK is getting the Woodson treatment: has to overpay to get anyone to say yes to him.
  16. I read somewhere that Chuck and Malone go way, way back. And Malone needs a college-very experienced lead assistant.
  17. Like absolutely nothing has changed or happened for Indiana or for other teams… that we know of.
  18. He played at a Skyy Clark/Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn-level number of high schools. Poor bastard has no idea what state he's currently in, but he knows he's cool with playing for "Transfer." ps: Both Clark and Gibbs-Lawhorn are also in the portal.
  19. Same guy. Still younger than Chad Baker-Mazara and IUFB's new punter.
  20. "THE PHONE HAS NOT STOPPED BUZZING!" *and the bottom has not stopped fuzzing.
