Any advantage we gained from UM having to go with a backup QB is probably cancelled out with the wolverines coming in mad as hell after losing last week. Effects of crappy weather unknown, probably bigger advantage to the home team. Who knows, maybe we find out Lagow is a bad weather QB. Stranger things have happened. Usually not to our favor, but they happen nonetheless. My biggest fear is the early bye is catching up to us. Gut check time boys. Talent wise we can hang. Take care of the ball, play smart, and hope Jabrill Peppers oversleeps. We got this! Go Hoosiers!

I realize that is one random snippet from the twittersphere, but if you haven't figured it out by now ( and I think you have), "smart" is one word that should rarely be used to describe the IUFB fanbase. And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, I am not saying that being critical automatically disqualifies one as a knowledgeable fan. Got a good feeling about this one boys. Our D can definitely keep us in this, just need the O to play to their abilities and protect the ball. A large, rowdy crowd wouldn't hurt matters either. Go Hoosiers!

Weis came off the books last January, just in time for Kelly's extension. At one time they were paying Willingham, Weis, and Kelly. As hsrtxp said above, the NBC contract will always be there and the stands are full. I hate them more than anything and it sucks to have to live at damn near ground zero, but they have verrrry deep pockets. The amount of construction that has taken place on that campus in the last 10-15 years is mind boggling. They wouldn't blink at paying Kelly to walk away.

Needed the win and got it. Good team effort, marred by some stupid penalties. Also a stretch of sloppy tackling, but they got it cleaned up. The ZanderCat offense was very effective. Hope it can remain that way after teams have had a chance to prepare for it. By the same token, teams will now have to prepare for the variety of looks we can throw at them. And one more time for good measure, Zander please just shut up and play ball. Was nice to see Lagow and Zander cheering each other on and celebrating together. They've bought into what CKWs selling. That bodes well. I am rarely critical, but that last 2 pt attempt was just stupid. You're smarter than that coach. On track for bowl eligibility, but have to win on the road next week.Never easy. On to Rutgers. And for cripes sake, somebody pay the ransom and get the real Griffen Oakes back please. Go Hoosiers

Hoosiers- 27 Terps- 23

Yes the O is struggling badly right now. But Wilson has a 20 year track record of very good to elite offenses, I have to believe he'll figure something out. Perhaps it's not this year and we miss a bowl. Not the first time in our history we missed going bowling. More than likely it wouldn't be the last. The defense, however, is not just improved, it is DRASTICALLY improved. Per NCAA stats we rank 49th in total D, we were 121st last season. Using advanced metrics from FootballOutsiders (think kenpom you basketball types;)...we rank 20th in Dfei and 32nd in S&P+. Last year those were 105 and 106. We have already played most of the high ranked offenses on our schedule, I see no reason those numbers shouldn't remain that good, if not improve. We return everybody on D except big Ralph. Bowen and Barwick have looked good and we have a couple hoss's coming in. I find myself enthused by all that. Bring on the Terps. Go Hoosiers!

I would never consider you confident ;) Any game against a Pat Fitzgerald coached team is going to be a battle, dude knows his football and how to maximize his talent. Simply cannot beat ourselves tomorrow with turnovers and stupid penalties. Ryan Field is far from an intimidating environment, and we usually pull a decent crowd there. Time to get back in the win column. Go Hoosiers!

It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll. Frustrating as hell, but we are a darn respectable team, and that matters. Any talk of settling is premature at best, imo. If we continue to beat teams we should and make bowls, I'll gladly settle for that for a couple more years. If we still can't beat any of the big boys by then, its a fair discussion. Struggling QB play and all, we still could go 5-1 the rest of the way. The D is legit and with McCray and Robinson back, the D-line has finally been able to get a push with only four. I'm hoping the step down in competition will ease some of Lagow's issues, and getting Feeney back would be a plus (although at this point it is what it is). Onward to Northwestern. Go Hoosiers!

Those are solid rankings for us at this stage of the game. Wilson and staff usually finish strong, couple that with another bowl trip and we could end up cracking the top 40. I don't see us slipping below the low 50s. Step by step.

#10 team in the country coming to town and we're only 3 pt dogs. We continue to trend in the right direction, time to kick it into overdrive. Please please please if you can get to this game, do so.
