Not sure what you are watching but you are the first I have seen these types of comments about. I would have to say I completely disagree with your assessment of our current and future situation. Hopefully you will soon realize that fundamentals and intelligence is actually better than supreme talent most times at the college level. Most of the people you listed earlier will make excellent professionals. Some are solid college players. But time and time again we are proven that glue guys like Hartman are the key to winning at this level. I know you will have a retort for that but explain to me how the most talented team of your lifetime couldn't beat team with a fraction of the talent in the tournament?

Senior Hartman > Freshman Davis from a stability standpoint. Plus he will give our team what we need. The ability to knock down a jumper. I think you are underestimating what that does in the lane for Bryant my young padawa. Plus that gives more flexibility with the minutes down low which we will need.

So a 5 star stretch 4 or point forward? Not exactly traditional by any stretch.

Hartman is playing more of a 3. Crean has never played with a traditional 4. You do realize for someone that spends a majority of his time being a catch and shoot guy his to/40 rate of 2.0/game in this offense isn't bad don't you? He is at 19.9. I get that's not pretty but his role he plays very well.

He is not a Senior and he does the things needed to win. Doesn't turn the ball over. Makes the smart play. Boxes out. There isn't any player on our bench I want starting over him. I doubt many if any coach in America would want him on the bench in winning time or starting.

I am guessing he will jump up some. I like his game though.

I doubt he would be fired next year unless arrests or complete tanking, but I would hope even with a top finish we start aiming for consistent top 5 finishes. Like 5 being a down year with top 3 most of the time. I do like we are finally at a point where it seems going forward we will have a balance of skill in every class. That will help. But we should be past the point where we either share or win then fall to bottom half for two years IMO.

He needs to add a lot of muscle this offseason. I agree with you.

Newkirk, RoJo, and Cujo won't fill Yogi's shoes but those are huge shoes. We have to win in a different way than Yogi carrying us. I am less worried about next year than this year at this point. But that is a top 25 team to me. MSU with their star studded class will be at the top. Osu will be there with their young core they have. I see us in the 3-5 range expectation wise with upside. We have a very balanced team. The players coming back will have experience and growth. If you don't see OG or Bryant having that Fresh to Soph jump then we will just disagree what we are expecting. RoJo can shoot. Look at Yogi the shooter as the years went on. Growth is expected.

I actually like our team next year and our depth. We have experience and a solid group of incoming freshmen. Our freshmen from this year will make their leap. We will have good Juniors and Hartman. I guess I don't see the excuses you see.

I definitely agree the lows shouldn't be that low. The first year after the B1G title ok. We lost Oladipo and Zeller. Zeller was definitely expected. Oladipo was not. Last year should have never happened. At worst in either year is a top 5 finish. He is still here with a good shot at atleast a split. Let's see where the year ends. But I agree we need consistency.

If there was I would probably look down on our students more than I already do. They really haven't fulfilled their role as students at the games unless it is a "name" opponent. That said, if he were to win a 2nd B1G in 4 years (in a year we were expected middle of the pack by most every prognosticators) and students celebrated? Look at our last 25 years. The grass isn't necessarily greener on the other side.
