  1. I see Rob, Lander, Franklin, Al, Hunter, TJD, Race, Brunk, and 1 other freshman being in the regular rotation. One of the freshman other than Lander will probably see 10+. If a big went down it would be my biggest concern. It was that way before Justin. We are a Brunk or TJD injury/suspension away from playing very small. We could survive most every other position. If Race would have left and Justin stayed I would honestly feel the same. And I love Race and what he brings. I think Justin brought a lot too. He wasn’t my favorite, but he had a great role when he accepted it and played within it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. I could see it. I was thinking a DePaul at first when I heard it. He would be dangerous in Illinois system. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. I do worry about the late grad transfer unless it’s a knockdown shooter. Don’t think there are many of them this late. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. Also, our lineups just shrank. I prefer that. I am not a large lineup guy. You can build a rotation out of 8/9 and be very successful. I feel the larger rotations don’t allow anyone any time to get in sync. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  5. Good luck Justin. Starting lineup - Rob, Lander, Al, Hunter, and TJD. I wouldn’t at all mind Race at the 4 and Hunter at the 3. TJD is going to play 30-35. Race is going to get 25. We just need 20-25 at the 4/5 between Brunk and some Hunter at the 4. Brunk will pull 15-20 at most. Probably closer to the 15. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  6. https://mobile.twitter.com/khristianlander/status/1262848915377963011 This may have been posted elsewhere. If so sorry. One thing that surprised me is there are decent amounts of him working in tight spaces. Both with his handle and shot. I am not sold he is going to be this top option from day one. But I am hopeful he can have a DJ Carton type freshman season. He does that we are in good shape. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  7. Yeah tone is so hard to gauge on the internet. That aside, Matt Haarms was a top 5 transfer. When that is the case it’s a down year on the transfer market. Last year in general was just a weird year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  8. Man I hope that kid realizes some day his mom is having a negative effect on his career/college life. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/attorney-person-accused-sexually-assaulting-105728906.html More to the story. A man accused of sexually abusing his 4 year old son was at a poker game he showed up to. I would probably lose it too. Not saying he handled it right but I get it. 10. I hope so. I haven’t seen him play against college aged kids yet. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. Disagree. For obvious reasons. If he is at 165 he is playing 20 mpg. Still a really huge addition. I hope he has a DJ Carton style season before left. That’s what our team could use. DJ was playing 23.9 mpg and putting a really decent stat line. Turnovers were high but it’s going to happen as a freshman. If he gave us 10 pg and 3-4 assists per game I don’t care how long it took. 12. There is a lot more to it than that. Come on now. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. Yep that’s where I am with him. 20-25 mpg. If he can get 10-15 lbs on that will help him massively. I hope we don’t see too many times there are 2 bigs on the floor at the same time. His ability to get in the lane will open so many things up. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Lol we can’t even come close to agreeing on guaranteed starters. I think the only guarantee is TJD and a lot of hope. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. If Hunter provides more Archie showed he has no problem sending a Senior to the bench. If Justin plays consistently great defense and rebounds good I think he will still play 20-25 even if he comes off of the bench. I think Hunter can provide more than Justin and his game complements Lander and TJD so much more than Justin’s does imo. He should make that freshman to sophomore jump. He is also probably comfortable and confident in his leg. That was probably his biggest hurdle. If Jerome outplays him early I wouldn’t be surprised. We are hopefully past the point we are playing inconsistent seniors just because they are seniors. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. I think what Archie will do to start season: Rob, Al, Hunter, TJD, Brunk. With Lander being the first off the bench and 4th in mpg until conference with an 11 man rotation. What I would like: Rob, Lander, Al, Hunter, TJD. Franklin or Smith first off the bench. 8 man rotation. Stop with rotations that have no outside threat. Protect TJD lineups you can space out. If he picks up fouls move him back to the 4. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  19. I could for sure see it. I like smaller rotations, but I definitely see that happening and him being one of ten that see that. I think one of the other freshman will also see 10 mpg as well. Lander gives us options. His ability to knock down shots as essentially a high school senior in college will determine how much run he gets as a freshman and how deep our rotation is. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. I could see Al start early on but would love him as a 6th man. I think Lander gives us a speed and second option to get out and run before the defense gets set in small spurts. I would also love an 8 man rotation of 10+ mpg players of Rob, Lander, Al, Hunter, Smith, Race, TJD, and Brunk. But I anticipate going 10 deep on that. 21. That was a great documentary. Can’t wait for the Kobe one if ever. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  22. If they had shooters to protect him I would say he could get to that 30 mpg and be effective that long. Until the baby Boilers hit with any level of consistency they will see a lot of defenses like we did last year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Now THAT is hilarious. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  25. I forgot I asked and didn’t look myself. I couldn’t remember if that was right before they started winning or not. Still. 2 game 7’s throughout that whole run is amazing. They weren’t just beating teams, they dominated regularly. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
