Really nothing. But I found it funny and ironic. He has been a big part of our program for many, many years. To me, this in two tweets encapsulates Dan Dakich. Like I don’t blame him. He is who he is. But he doesn’t understand why some people would quit following him. Then directly quotes someone who quoted him, and proceeds to tell the dude to get over himself. Don’t get me wrong. There is plenty that is over the top. I appreciate the response. There have been some blatant racism in quite a few of the games I have went to. As both a student and fan. My first racist memory was as a little kid when Lawrence Funderburke came back. Most recent? The MSU game where things started getting thrown and almost got the crowd a T. We should have got one. But I feel I pay attention to those types of things more sometimes than others. I feel an announcement on respect prior to the games would be beneficial to some. How many games a year do you go in person? Edit: Reason I ask is I was just curious of what the most offensive chant you have heard/hear? For me it would be nice to do something similar as more of a reminder to not chant or scream racist things amongst others. I usually go to about half or just slightly under half of the home games. From getting in foul trouble and the constant banging in the B1G with the questionable officiating. When teams were physical with him it tended to take him out of the game. I know you think life is a video game and everything is plug and play. It just doesn’t work like that. The most productive TJD in college is splitting time between the 4/5. That TJD will give us 30+ minutes and potentially be an all league and maybe better. His position flexibility gives us lineup options and versatility. I know you don’t understand that and you want to fit everything in a square box. It’s just not reality. There will be times when TJD is the 4 on offensive sets where either Race or Brunk are the 5. Probably half of the time he is in the game. I suspect he will spend more time this year at the 5 than he did last year. That’s where I guess he will spend half of his time there. It’s not all or nothing as you want to paint it. It’s just not the reality of the situation and it’s completely understandable. Brunk is a leader. Do you think that will truly happen? Step outside of your bias of Brunk. Do you see that happening? I don’t. Archie has been consistent on how he has taken TJD off the 5. TJD is not playing 30 minutes at the 5. That just will not happen. Race will play some minutes at the 5 as he did last year. TJD will as well. Brunk will still play around 20 mpg. Possibly more. If there were any question OK St will appeal the penalties. So they are probably still looking at that August/September timeline we have been discussing over the last year. Not sure where the rest sit, but by that forceful tweet earlier I posted, I am guessing these schools are making the NCAA’s life miserable when being interviewed. I am guessing OK St thought they would get probation or blame it squarely on the coaches. Really no other reason to be forthcoming if you are getting hammered regardless. The people resigned to the punishment are hoping they can keep Self and get a 2 year ban. Others want to leave the NCAA or feel they will get off because nobody was arrested lol. We literally might see a few teams get as close to the death penalty for the first time since SMU. I am guessing they will end with 2-3 year ban and show cause for Self.
