Yeah man, I know when we were having convos on how great the NBA minor leagues could be. How owners will do anything to stock talent. It’s a business and the minor leagues are a cost drain. MLB for years has tried to drastically lower the costs in the minors. Before this they were talking about cutting 3 levels and keeping 3 in the next CBA. I hate to see it so drastic. There are legit superstars that will never see the light of day. But with that little of talent pools you may see some younger players up earlier when injuries occur. He is just the type of kid with the work he puts in you hear of and continual growth that is just a dream. This is the kid you want in 1990 as much as 2020. He is just going to be a player, and a dominant one potentially. You put him with Lander and the sky is the limit. No matter where he ends up I am tracking him. Would love to see him reach that potential and become a top 5 pick. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I am guessing they started updating. Samsung usually only takes a couple of days. The straight Apple OG app before tapatalk has always taken the longest. This whole issue is like clockwork every year it happens in May/June and has since we came over here to do our thing.

When you click on what you have circled it takes you to tapatalk. This is what I see on the actual app. Yes they are different.

You are using tapatalk. I just use the BtownBanners app.

Did he say how behind Apple will be? Usually a week if he jumps right on it, but a lot longer otherwise.

It’s funny you bring that up. Adjusted defense Crean wasn’t top 100 in his last 6 years. I believe I also saw a stat that was never once in top 190 in turnovers. Yeah if Archie does that on the opposite side of the court I imagine he will be gone too. So let’s recap. The side where he has never shown to know anything he is top 70 this last season. The side Crean was weakest at he couldn’t crack top 100 for years. So, I guess gold will be fun...

That time of year again... I finally got used to these app updates.

Man imagine if he learns something. I know you don’t think that is possible, but for such a god awful coach his adjusted offense was 65. The defense was 26th. Imagine if he actually learns something. If he learns just one thing in your eyes then all of the sudden he would be a top ten coach. That would be a spectacular turn of events, don’t you think? I just always assumed coaches win titles out of the gate. Oh you know, I got it. It’s the players only at that point. We would have won in spite of him. Or the players improving on their own raised his game. As long as every angle of this pretzel convo you got going is covered. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

You take me not putting 100% blame as I am not blaming him at all. You can’t even give me that when you quote me saying where he went wrong. I am so sick and tired of the hot takes of extremism. It doesn’t organically develop good conversation. Not everything needs to be balls to the wall one side is explicitly right and the other side is explicitly wrong. So by me blaming everyone for this situation while being empathetic to both sides wanting a change does not mean I am deflecting blame or only blaming one person. Open your damn eyes and read what I said and quit trying to make this into something it is not just to argue. There is quite frankly no reason to. Both sides are happy and I am too. You are the one bitching about changing the offense to fit Justin’s game better. If thats how you feel then cool. I sure as hell wouldn’t. Especially if my livelihood is depending on it. I would have also recruited knock down down shooters. If we had that Justin transfers two years ago and again I wouldn’t blame him. You have this weird thing with calling him our second best player repeatedly as if that means much of anything. Cool if that’s how you feel. I have no ambitions trying to argue something you are dying to argue or you wouldn’t have brought it up multiple times. I won’t miss him on this team and I hope him the best. I would miss many other players a lot more than him. You may not. Cool. I don’t really care how you feel on him and I made that pretty clear last year. I am here to support my college in a way we are best suited to win. Sorry that doesn’t involve your 2nd best player. By the way guys he was the 2nd best player. I just feel the uproar of a board recognizing we lost our 2nd best player. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I am uncertain who notices what I say, so if I am repeating I apologize. For 3 years I have wanted 2-3 knockdown shooters. Not necessarily in the game at the same time but 2 to space the floor even more. Every defense we face packs the lane. That’s my biggest beef. Brunk allows TJD to play the 4. TJD at the 4 can create his own offense and plays big. Justin can’t do that. If I am between a scenario that has Justin at the 4 and TJD at the 5 or TJD at the 4 and Brunk at the 5 I am taking Brunk. We lose out on defense but we are better offensively while keeping TJD out of foul trouble. It’s not explicitly I am blaming Justin for anything and not Archie. It starts at who he has not recruited as much as it is Justin’s desire to be something he has not. It doesn’t have to be an either or. Both can be blamed. From my understanding he was explicitly told he wasn’t playing the 3 and his minutes would be cut. That’s what it should be at this point. He would be a great defender off of the bench. Good rebounder. His points mostly were on putbacks or getting to the rim/line. I am indifferent on him leaving because I feel we can overcome him leaving and he gets put in a position he prefers. I guess I don’t see the problem with that? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Yes, it is always a smart move to create opportunities for a guy that can’t shoot and gets small going to the rim. You do you on your hypothesis of the game. Me? I would keep him as a 4 and his offense would still be diving to the rim when a guard gets in the lane, or putbacks. So I guess I would be a jackass too not having him on the perimeter like you have wanted. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

What question am I dodging? I explicitly said it’s a horrible lineup to have 3 people in the game the same time that can’t shoot. I told you that last year when you wanted him out on the perimeter and argued with every single person he was a wing. My stance has never changed with Smith. He is not a useful 3. As a 4 he has a lot of value. He will never be a primary option in an offense. What exactly am I dodging when I have said the same exact thing the last two off seasons? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Not be in the game cause he can’t shoot? So most likely stand in the corner because it’s a horrible lineup with him not being a 3? I don’t care what your offensive system is, if you have 3 guys in a game that can’t shoot outside of 10 feet there is no system that can save you. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

There were not two players on separate blocks during games. There is always one setting picks with one on the block. The person setting the pick (if no other big) typically rolled toward the rim. If there were two bigs the picker usually popped. He can’t hit that shot. That creates an issue within the offense. Your issue you have always illustrated and seemed to have taken it to it happens every play, is the illustration that showed the single big on the wrong block, effectively blocking the driving lane. That isn’t “two others standing down there”. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Yes we weren’t making the tournament last year or coming into this season as a top 25 team. We have no chance of making a tournament while he was here because we are so pathetic. I mean what you typed had no sarcasm and truly encapsulated what is actually happening. I am just so sorry to respond incredulously. You never deserved that on an IU board. What was I ever thinking? Indiana MBB 20-21 Rotation Discussion
mdn82 replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I get it where it would be convenient. From my angle most every decent team in America isn’t deeper than we are. You have to have your horses on the court. You can’t really plan on having talent that could play many minutes at any other college on the bench. It starts to mess with chemistry. We will miss the good Justin Smith for sure. But I think outside of TJD and Brunk being in the game at the same time we just opened the lanes up for our guards, a lot. Race is going to have to be that junkyard dog Archie wanted Justin to be. This pretty much means Hunter has to be on point when the season starts too. A combo of Hunter and Race have to take over the good things Justin did. If we don’t see improvement in our offense with things opening up, I think we would all agree we will know where we stand with Archie in mostly agreement. I think he could and should end up on a really good team. Grad transfers are overhyped because they are a one year fix and don’t hurt future numbers. Any team that has a spot would love a one year player that put up those stats at an Indiana. As a fan of the game I would love to see him at a Virginia. I think Bennett could get the most out of him because of his skill set and make him into a very good 3rd option on a good team. I know that would never happen, but a fan can dream. I envision him ending up at DePaul or school at that level and trying to be the man. I wouldn’t blame him for it. He is the one living the decisions.
