If You Could Add One Past Player.....
JaybobHoosier replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I considered Hulls or Zeisloft, you can’t go wrong with their shooting ability. I went with Watford because I felt we needed more size on this team, but one who could be a good sharp shooter from outside. I know Watford will always be known for the Wat-Shot or Wat-Block, but I will never forget how he brought us back at the end of the 1st half against VCU!!! Dude went off and that brought us back to life. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
That’s awesome! Always been a wish to have a house with land and my own lake/pond. What kind of fish do you have in there? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Also find it interesting/funny how a lot of Big10 fans have come together in their hate for Nebraska with all their crap this offseason. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Since he hasn’t been mentioned, what about Thomas Bryant? Really good big guy who could shoot. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

From the Crean era to our current team, who would it be and why? For me, while there might be a few better players I could pick, I’m going with Christian Watford. I feel we could use some more size, and would really compliment TJD. Obvious upgrade would be his outside shooting, but Watford was a very good app around player. Really excited for this game. I’m a little worried about Maryland going crazy today, but I feel our defense wins out. We really need our offense to sustain drives and get the run game working to keep our defense fresh. Have a good feeling about today, but it will be a close contest. Nice!! Wish I could have went more this year, but I’m a guilty husband and would have felt bad going much while leaving my wife at home with two young ones. Hoping my oldest will take more of an interest next year, but doubt it since the subdivision playground is right next to the pond lol. He was done within 5 minutes of no bites wanting to go play on the slide. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Garza getting the Ethan Happ treatment: Do no wrong and get a foul called for any little touch against him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I got to watch the last few minutes hoping to see an Illinois upset. Oh we, seemed like a really good back and forth game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2022) - SG C. J. Gunn to DePaul

Thanks for the link and good read. The ending was pretty promising :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Idk if we will see much change in the lineup so quickly, so I think we will see the same one in game 2. However, I would like to go: Rob Al Jerome Race TJD However, that’s with Brunk back and ready to go so that we can have a big off the bench. Trey, Lander, Brunk, and Armaan are ready to go off the bench! A lot of toughness coming off the bench that’s needed! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Really good question and I think you can say either. I think collectively the team is better, but we lost veteran players that can take time to overcome. Our chemistry and scheme is better, but like I said, it will take time to work the kinks out. I think later in the season we will see a better overall team that will be a nightmare to play, even if we aren’t a top 15-20 team. CAM has put new wrinkles and schemes on offense, and the defense adjusted its hedging some so everyone is still learning to some degree. While this can be said each year, I think this is CAM’s most important season because he’s losing some recruiting steam and it seems to be based on past teams performances. With Archie not being able to run his normal offensive style, results are really important this season from a recruiting standpoint. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2022) - PG Avery Brown
JaybobHoosier replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Have to agree. I don’t really keep up much on recruiting anymore, but he seems to genuinely like IU and everything is offers. Really hoping for a big ‘22 class with ‘21 a little in limbo. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Feels like we have a good shot here, esp with him wanting to enroll early. If TJD leaves after this season, he has a good shot at significant time right away. I was hoping to add another big to this class (still might with transfers), but our chances seem good here. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
