Me too. We always go there every trip to Bloomington. I doubt we do this with the kiddos but we would park, and just walk around the beautiful streets of Bloomington around that area. Here’s a fun IU memory for everyone. Where were you and what was your reaction to the WatShot? I will never forget for two reasons. The first of course is because of its significance and against UK. The second is because I got to share that moment with my dad, and a few years ago I moved away for college so him and I hadn’t got to watch many IU games for a few years together. I remember throwing something when Oladipo turned it over towards the end thinking how bad IU choked this opportunity away when they had it in hand, but screwed it away. I was sitting on the floor at the time Watford shot it and I was frozen lol. Soon as it went in I started jumping and screaming all across my parents living room. After the celebration I got an “I told you so” from my mom who told me to never lose faith...... thanks mom lol. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Agreed and I know the Assembly Call podcasters talked about that as well. We really need that and felt it has been lacking the last couple years. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Really sorry to hear that and praying for a full recovery and protection from it again! You are one of my all time favorites and praying for you my friend! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Living in St. Louis, I’m hoping Covid will be a non-factor so I can start taking my oldest to St. Louis University games. Even though he’s only 3 1/2, he kept asking me earlier this year if we could go to some Stl Blues games. Makes me so happy lol. I had a proud but uh-oh dad moment at one hockey game. We were in a suite and my oldest was on my lap when a fight broke out. Without thinking I started chanting FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT pumping my arms in the air....... let’s just say the little mini me started doing the same lol. I can’t wait to take him to Bloomington for IU games, tour Cook Hall, and eat at Buffa Louies :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Daddy-dearest didn’t help either as he was a very big critic of Archie from the get go. I remember him deleting criticizing tweets about coach. I liked Justin, but I found him more frustrating than Troy Williams. Smith had so much talent but was lazy a lot of the time. Some may disagree, but he checked out at parts of the game and lost focus randomly. While we will miss him to start the season, we are better off overall this season imo. Started to rewatch the Stanford game last night. Once the team got going (pretty early), you could tell the team was enjoying themselves. Smiling and loving the game with their teammates. It’s a joy watching that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
A lot of movement by teams non-tendering contracts and letting people go. Cards released a reliever who has been very steady the last 3 years, but was lost before the season due to Tommy John. Any team who picks up John Brebbia will be lucky, very good pitcher out of the pen! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Hope everyone is doing well during Covid and staying safe! Prayers to those who are affected or have family or friends who have been. Also, I’m hoping to hear back today or early next week on a new job (99% confident I have it based on conversations with management after interviews when they called me). Been praying for awhile to help me find a new job. I’ve been in banking for almost 10 years, and my boss for the last 1.8 years has been a nightmare. Rules strictly by fear and nothing is ever good enough. While I’m currently a branch manager, the new job is the same but more responsibility as I will be tasked to grow a brand new branch for a new bank in the area. I’m so excited and nervous, but keep praying I get it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Haven’t went through all the posts, but where was Geronimo? He had played well for what to expect from him, so I was surprised not to see him play. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
That’s awesome! I can’t wait to start taking my kiddos. We have an IU book that has stuff about IU in it, and then some fight songs after. He loves singing the IU fight song with me. Love those moments :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It feels like our guards play with a lot more hesitancy. I wonder if that’s their nature, Archie’s coaching, or both. Rob makes us so much better when he attacks and shoots, but he’s very timid in both right now. Just makes you wonder what some of our guards think during games and with their confidence. As for are we better this year. I do think so, but it will take time as the season progresses. Young team with new offensive sets and wrinkles, we really needed a normal season. If that was the case, I don’t think we would be having too much discussion in this thread. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I didn’t do it after the Texas loss because of how bad it was. I used to do this many moons ago and a lot of posters didn’t like when I did it after losses. Picking my battles :) Glad you like I though. It’s fun to see as the season progresses who has the most MVPs, and then compare to what our thoughts are with the season. It’s pretty neat. I wasn’t able to watch but will on DVR tonight. Obviously based on the box score it looks like TJD finally showed up, but what all did I miss? How did everyone play/etc? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Trust me, I get it and I’m half-way off the bandwagon. I’ve talked with several IU fans that I think Archie’s stubbornness of offense will most likely be his undoing. However, I just can’t totally get the bad shooting. Our team has decent and okay shooters, but when they get here it all disappears..... Either way, try to relax and let’s see how this year plays out. This is a make or break for Archie because if this sort of offense continues, the recruiting will fall hard and results will get worse. I know today sucked on many different levels as an IU basketball fan, but lets have a more positive thread with a stroll down IU memory lane. Post pictures of attending IU games, memories of attending them, family traditions, etc. My first IU game at Assembly Hall was with my dad in the balcony. I’m terrified of heights and we were in the first row of the balcony. After the nerves of being up so high settled down (went away pretty quickly with the band and team warming up), I had the greatest time with my dad. He’s what started my passion for IU basketball. From a pure comedic standpoint was joining Natty and the late ColonialCrester for an IU football game (my first ever). We snuck onto the court in Assembly Hall, along with giving ourself our own tour of random parts in it (made it into a locker room lol). Probably my second favorite memory was when my wife surprised me with IU tickets for my birthday. Couldn’t ask for a better wife and b-day! Here’s a picture from that. This isn’t to get everyone even more fired up, but this adds onto the embarrassment that was today: Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Agreed. To me this would be the make or break year for Archie. I’ve had my worries since before Day 1, and they’ve continued but been patient until most of Crean’s guys were gone. I will still give him this season to play out, but if it’s another bad one then I will be done with Archie. There’s no excuse for the performance today, but every team does have a clunker now and then. I’m just worried with how the program is fallen, can we get a proven coach at the major level who would come here? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
