  1. The whole “fans are the problem” argument is laughable and a cop-out. I will die on this mountain because if fans are a problem, then UK, UNC, Duke, Kansas, UCONN, and a few others would be in the same situation as we are. It all lies at the administrations feet for bad hires, or coaches just not adapting to the evolution of the game. Woodson was an awful hire, and the fans have nothing to do with that failure. Archie was a failure but was not a terrible hire. The failures of of the last two coaches have nothing to do with the fans. It’s laughable to suggest fans are the problem.
  2. Makers is a really good choice. Last time I got drunk was off that, couldn’t put it down lol. I do like some Crown, but prefer to use Pepsi for that if I mix it.
  3. I would get behind him too, even though it will be very hard. I watch a lot less IU hoops that I ever have, and doubt that would change much if Brownell is coach. Part of it is kids sports schedules, and the other part is lack of enthusiasm for the program. Would rather get stuff done around the house than spend 2 hours watching frustrating basketball lol. I still try to watch games, but it’s not must see basketball like is used to be.
  4. Agree and understand. I think he’s better than Brownell, but not excited if Cronin gets it. At the very least though we should be looking at a tournament birth with Cronin.
  5. I believe Buckner and Ferguson were very serious, but unfortunately not much Dolson could do. If everyone is truly out of the way, and if Dolson goes the Brownell route, then very unserious.
  6. Hoping to watch some more games this year. Hope the boys pick it up and get it together.
  7. I will say, if it’s Brownell then that means IU is not serious about resurrecting its men’s basketball program. I’m going to choose to believe that’s false/fake. I can see him being on a list of a 4th or 5th tier of coaching candidates, but no logical way he’s higher than that. I would rather take an up and comer that Brownell. Like I said, not gonna let that get me down, because I refuse to believe IU is that unserious about its program.
  8. So, assuming the Stevens ship has fully sailed and it’s not a smokescreen, what’s everyone’s top 3? These are mine: - Dusty May - Chris Beard (if fully vetted and IU feels he can succeed off the court. I’m fully aware this is an extreme long shot, but still in my top 3 if IU thinks he’s the guy) - Bruce Pearl I can see the Pearl ship sailing, but I think he would help make IU a national relevant program again before retiring. I think May is the most realistic of the top candidates, but we will see. I think he will do great things at IU, but curious to see how this all unfolds.
  9. Just ignore the trolls and stop giving them what they want , a response. Goodnight Hoosier fans, season’s almost over!
  10. So sad. Loads of talent, terrible team, and poorly coached. NCAA Tournament is in their grasps and they fumbled it endlessly tonight. Can’t wait for this season to be over.
  11. Any once again, get it to 5, the. Give up a 3 (that wasn’t a clean look but still) and then offensive foul on IU. They can’t get out of their own way in this game.
  12. It’s there for the taking at times, but IU keeps making bad decisions instead of the right plays. IU has a chance, but has to step up consecutive plays without let downs.
  13. Well, our bigs were terrible and we couldn’t throw it into the ocean. Not much else you can expect to happen. Atrocious offensive scheme that gets hardly anything, and we hold the ball for 10-15 seconds. I don’t get the hesitation for this team to run and gun. Struggle to score so why not try to get cheap baskets? I’m sick of this head coach and his abilities. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such wasted talent.
  14. I truly don’t see a way we could get worse. Even with options like Cronin towards the bottom, that’s WAY better than Woodson. Trust me, I want a dynamite hire, but we have plenty of really good options that are realistic.
  15. I think our scheme does him more harm than good. Not saying he’s some amazing player, but he’s not this bad.
  16. This is why I refused to get too involved and excited about Stevens. Was hopeful, but it was a long shot to begin with. Maybe we are lucky and it’s just a smokescreen, but IU has several options on the table that could be home runs. IU basketball will go on, and I still truly trust Dolson to get this hire right. I think he deserves that after the Cignetti hire. May, Beard, Pearl, etc are all good options that we can possibly get. Keep the faith and carry on!
  17. IU should have sets to get Goode and Mgbako open shots, but fail to do so. Rice is a downhill guard but we have him playing extremely slow. Just feels our offense goes against several abilities the players possess.
  18. Once again, offensive scheme is awful and always has been under Woody. Other than posting up there is nothing.
  19. He said Scott, not Scotty. Geezeeez! :)
  20. Appreciate all the info everyone is sharing. While I’m hopeful, because of last time and just how things have gone since Knight was ousted, trying not to get too excited until it’s truly final. Huge shoutout to the insiders for sharing what they are hearing, because they could keep quiet if they wanted. Here’s to some amazing news we get to hear in the very near future. I was texting @Naturalhoosier (just now lol), and the thought of what Stevens could do here is insane to think about. Has all the potential to turn this once great program to a top powerhouse every year. I did say potential, because nothing is a guarantee, but the potential is there! Regardless who becomes coach, and whether we love it or not, we still need to get behind and support them. Last thing we want or need is to be right back here in 4 years praying to mystical white whale!
  21. Looks like I haven’t missed much at all this morning. WOW lol!
  22. It’s the players fault!
