Don't think the news DD is talking about is basketball related at all.... Today is probably the last game for the Football Coach. He has completely lost the locker room, the recruits, the FANS! 20+ players have reportedly asked for Transfer Paperwork... not that they will all transfer but it is a show of unity from the team that they want him gone.

I am glad to read some positives about Green towards the end of this thread... I was holding my tongue (fingers) reading through some of the earlier posts.... I don't know if I am just being stubborn or what but I still see Green as the better option than RP.... Green has his moments when I want to choke him (all that dribbling right before the half to get stripped).... but when he comes down dribbles by the defender and pulls up from the elbow I know that shot is going in every single time... his head is always up and looking for a pass (albeit a fancy pass even when it may not be necessary)... Phinisee is going to be the PG of the future, but i am just not sold on him being the PG of the current.... he still has a lot of work to do in my opinoin

I really don't see the mystic and aww for RJ Barrett? I thought he played completely out of control... bull rushing his way into the lane and throwing up very bad shots (about 50% went in)... He has no court vision, he either refuses to pass to others or doesn't see the open player... multiple times going 1 on 4 instead of hitting his superstar teammates. Zion on the other hand looks beastly! He is by far the best player on the Duke team and in my opinion will be a much better NBA player than RJ. If I was a Duke fan I would really like Jack White!!!

I am sorry... I thought this was an option for everybody. I just double checked (on the Site) and there is a box for me but it says "Moderator Options". I always use this with the Prediction league and never realized it wasn't an option for everybody. I can set it for you though (or Wayne can)... What time would you like it to lock? Then nobody has to remember to go in and manually lock it.

I agree that Rob looked good (well i didn't see yet but it sounds like he did)... however I am absolutely not sold that he will get the start once DG is healthy and ready to go... I can't wait to watch the replay tonight to see for myself but there were a couple times on the radio that it didn't sound so good for him... I am probably a bigger Green supporter than most on here, but he is so very impressive to me with the things he can make happen on the floor and it didn't seem like Rob has that same type of vision and energy.... DG definitely needs to bring it in sometimes but I think he is a very important piece this year. I still think he is our starting PG at least through January... then we will see who emerges from there. (but my money would be on him all season.)

Spike the ball.... Go for it on 4th down.... I am not for calling the fouls at the end of the game intentional or changing the current rules, but every sport has things that change when it gets close to the end... both in rules and in actions... From coaching decisions, to player actions.... the team winning does things a little different and the team losing does things a little different. In basketball the winning team has to hit the freebies etc. In Football the winning team may kneel on the ball... or maybe fall down on purpose before scoring a would be touchdown... which is definitely something they would avoid earlier in the game.

Indiana Breakdown: Bring in a potential scoring and all-around college superstar (Romeo Langford), combine him with one of the three or four best players in the Big Ten (Juwan Morgan), team them up with one of the best young coaches in college basketball (Archie Miller) and that's my kind of wild card team. Indiana's forecast for 2018-19 is foggier than almost anyone is willing to admit, so here I am to clear conscience. I honestly believe the spectrum of outcomes for this team is as low as 18 wins and a 4 seed in the NIT ... and as high as a stunning national title run. Who knows, really, what to expect in year two for Miller at Indiana. He's coached himself into some amazing seasons with less-than-ideal roster situations in the past. Now he gets a pretty good IU team that wasn't as good on offense last season as it could have been.

Theoretically though the same could be said for the method they are using... maybe even easier as the timing is always noon... maybe people that aren't available at noon would be available to lineup at 5pm for a 7pm tipoff... And if behind the scenes they are using some algorithm it is very dishonest for them to publicly state that the FIRST 200.... it also says they will be notified immediately of the upgrade.... so if there is something else going on behind the scenes it could very easily get outed quickly and cause controversy.... If you get denied and AFTER that your buddy logs in and gets them we immediately know the system isn't working as stated for example. *** I am in no way attacking your theory or anything.***

I don't know the process they will use... so I am asking in case you do.... How is this better than the current process? Seems to me you still have people reserved into this section that may not show up at all or at least not by tipoff. So 1 hour before somebody has to figure out who responded to the email but didn't show up (maybe not who but how many) and then use some sort of process (presumably the next xx people in line) to fill those empty seats prior to tipoff... Just seems it would be so much easier to say the first 200 students with GA seats in line get this section... that will get students their early for every game and more than just 200.

I agree with you 100%... I would brave the cold, the traffic, the balcony, or whatever else the case was to be there every game if I possibly could.... To me it is so much better than watching on TV etc, but there are a growing number of people who would rather watch in the comfort of their home on their giant TV etc.... I wish they would add a GA section down low for any loud boisterous non-students.... I love being there and I am usually lucky to get a seat right on the edge of the wall so WHEN I stand up the entire game I don't piss people off... but something like that would be great for the rabid fans like us who log on to this website everyday!!!

Wouldn't the seats still be sold already? This isn't a new set of seats, this is an upgrade for those who already have GA tickets... Say there are 10,000 GA Seats, they still sell 10,000 GA tickets, but then just determine which 200 get to sit in that specific GA section...

While I agree in premise that is definitely not the case much of the time... putting a great product on the floor will help immensely but this problem still exists because of all the options... Watch the game at a bar, at home, etc... are good options now... deal with cold walks etc to see IU dismantle Central Arkansas in Mid-December isn't as appealing to many students even if it is the best IU team in history!
