I believe this started last game... Unless I am combining I think I noticed it during the Illinois game.... I know FTs are so mental, I mean people stand all over the place, side to side, right on the line to way back (who was it that shot Deep Free throws for us a few years back .... maybe more than a few)... I 100% agree that participation in youth sports is and will continue to decline through a myriad of factors. However I do believe that there are still more than enough that decide the risk is worth the reward and overall we will not see a change in high level athletics. There will still be an NFL, NHL, NBA, NCAA etc.... And as long as there are enough people willing to take that risk those organizations aren't going to make sweeping changes that effect their own bottom line negatively.

If you get hit in the head there is a good chance it will hurt, you may see blurry, you may have a headache.... that doesn't mean it is a concussion. Of course there are symptoms after taking a shot to the head... that is my point... just because it hurts doesn't mean it is a long term thing. And then when doing more test everything shows up fine... so could it be a concussion that immediately healed? possible... or could the original diagnosis of a concussion have been wrong? Again possible... The protocol and the test are exactly that. Trying to determine if you did or did not have a concussion post injury. If there is ZERO way to determine you didn't have a concussion post injury then everybody DOES have a concussion everytime they are tested.

Yep that is exactly the case. No point in discussing any further. Your opinion is what it is and so is mine. And neither of us is going to change the other.... Have you examined the players and their brains? What makes you the expert? Oh wait you are just going off others evidence... it is easy to pick and choose who to believe to support your side, there is plenty of research on both sides but as long as you only introduce the stuff that supports your opinion then it is right.

Respect your opinion and yes it has more to do than just ball handling but if the other team is putting pressure on the ball handler that part is important... Romeo leads the team in turnovers, Morgan is good with the ball for what he does but I wouldn't want him bringing the ball up the court against pressure, and Al seems to have some bad decision making along with poor ball handling... Rob has better decision making from what I have seen, however I have also seen him struggle dribbling against pressure. It is a good thing most teams don't have the endurance to press/pressure all game long.

I have seen MANY cases of somebody being diagnosed with a concussion and then later told the diagnosis was wrong and they NEVER actually had a concussion. I have heard stories from others on the testing procedures and how it is not a true baseline (see others posts above as additional examples). I personally am NOT qualified to make any diagnosis and I am not making a diagnosis. i am saying the ones that are could be wrong. And even the medical Professionals and experts don't agree on the subject at all. Once you put the strict protocols in place that IU has apparently done then it no longer matters what a doctor says... the protocols overwrite the doctors opinions or diagnosis.

This is the problem... the testing... The baseline. The protocol... You say he was clear tested and has 1, but by everything I have seen he clearly doesn't have 1... but because some test or some baseline in some test that isn't perfected says so then he is out.

Not true at all. I am 100% saying IU is being overly cautious with the protocol and how they are administering it. I am absolutely NOT saying (even indirectly) that I care more about winning games than I do the players health. I am saying I believe the players are safe and healthy and because of the over cautious nature IU is implementing they are still not allowed to practice or play.

Who would you give confidence to? To me it HAS to be Green.... I don't trust Romeo, Al, Damezi, McRoberts, Juwan.... and honestly I trust Green more than Rob in that situation... I have always been stubborn on Green but for sure he is the best ball handler on the team.

I have heard people say this before. Do you actually believe this will happen? There is no chance, there is always somebody willing to take the risks.... there are a lot of people in really bad situations and the only way out is through sports... ANYTHING literally ANY RISK is worth the reward of being able to get out of those type of situations.

1 out of every 7 is definitely a ton when it comes to false positives. With any little bump resulting in being tested there has to be tons of tests and if 1 out of every 7 is falsely saying concussion that is a problem. Especially if then they go into a protocol to get cleared to play that sounds as if it is very hard to pass even for somebody who has never had a concussion... As stated this is 1 of the reasons athletes will try to hide any symptoms etc. They know they are fine but the test will say otherwise then it will take them months to be able to do anything.

Understand, and like I said I wasn't trying to call you out or anything, I just thought is was interesting and you are the one that got me thinking about it. You said 221 minutes though and he currently has only 170 so I wasn't sure of the source of data. (Or my data could be wrong). My question though is with his athletic ability you believe he should ball hawk better specifically on the offensive glass? He is #2 in steals and #1 in steals per minute played so that confirms his ball hawk ability to me, I would assume especially by looking at the other PGs offensive rebounding numbers that they are told specifically to get back on defense and not go for the offensive rebound... would it be better if he had 1 offensive rebound per game but the opponent got even 1 additional fastbreak bucket per game because our PGs weren't getting back on defense? He is still averaging just under 5 Turnovers per 40 minutes but his shooting appears to have gone up to 40%

@Old Friend I would like to hear your thoughts on some of these numbers.... Not trying to call you out or anything, but your comments in the Watford recruiting thread are what started my journey here... and I didn't want to take that thread off the rails... Your specific grievance appeared to be the fact that Green has 0 Offense Rebounds this season... (I admit I originally read your post as 0 rebounds and I knew there was no way that was true so I went and researched for myself). But looking at these stats Green has 0 but Durham only has 1 & Phinisee only has 2 while both have played considerably more minutes that Green. I believe this is the outcome of design... the PG's job per Archie (I am assuming not quoting him) is to get back to the defensive end of the floor, not crash the offensive glass.
