Just read a witness from inside the car stated that DD apparently was trying to jump onto the front of the car... Just goofing around being dumb as she said.

Z wasn't brought in for that, Yogi was looking forward to living with him off campus before the on campus rule was put in place, Yogi isn't going to be looking forward to being babysat and he would be smart enough to know that if it were the case. Program is at a crossroads... This team needs to make the decision immediately which path to take... Coach can show them the road but they gotta make it happen on and off the court. This isn't really on this exact topic but it is somewhat related and i don't think it deserves it's own thread.... I read a few posts with people asking where is the line going to be drawn etc....   Recently a young female played in the Little League World Series..... now somebody is wanting to put her in a commercial (and pay her for appearing in the commercial) so they contacted the NCAA to get their approval. NCAA gave a conditional approval that she could do it but all the proceeds had to be placed into a trust fund that she couldn't access until after College (or lose any eligibilty so if she didn't go to college she could of course access it then).   Is it just me or is that ludicrous..... the NCAA can tell a young kid what to do... Not anywhere close to going to college, let alone the fact that it has nothing to do with a college paying her.   I don't understand all the facts so if somebody knows why this is please let me know.... What if there was a child actor that ended up being an athelete... would this be an issue because he/she made money before going to college? High School kids can have jobs but student atheletes in college can not...

This was my first thought... If this were an NCAA idea that was everywhere then I would be all for implementing it because I feel it is unfair to student athletes the way the NCAA is currently, specifically since they are not even allowed to have a job.... but if this is just at Texas and per the article they are the richest school... how is this in any way fair.... Recruits have the option of getting paid to play college sports at Texas or play elsewhere for free (legally free... nevermind all the under the table deals).... that will obviously be used in recruiting to Texas advantage.

I know only a few people ended up getting in this... but I just have to say... C'mon people... I am in 2nd place and i just realized before making this weeks picks that we are supposed to be picking against the spread... I had just been picking straight up who I thought would win.... You guys gotta get up to speed with your NFL knowledge... LOL jk... Maybe if more Hoosiers played in the NFL!!!

Has anybody heard anything on the Luke Fischer transfer? I know originally I heard he was very homesick and wanted to be closer to home... And I guess not that it even matters now because he is gone, but I recently heard (not sure how reliable the source is) that him and Jeremy didn't get along at all, got into multiple fights and that was part of the reason that he left... Part of this is also that the final straw that made Luke decide to leave was also what caused Jeremy to be suspended for those couple games?   Anybody heard anything about this before? This was the first I had heard of any of that.

I tried to follow him long ago but was just pending, now all of a sudden he made it public. Saw a tweet between him and Cody that he had to go through and delete a lot before making it public... Bet there was some good stuff..

Or even 1 True Road game period.... not only do we not have a tough one to check us we don't play a single Road game before Conference play begins.... I don't remember ever seeing/doing that before... Hope that doesn't come back to haunt us.

I would love a non-con schedule like that even if the other schools aren't doing it... don't always got to follow the model....   HOWEVER I wouldn't want 6 of the 7 on the road... Wouldn't mind 7/8 tough games but need a better home/road split...

Walking into class at IUS just as the first plane hit, saw the breaking news on a TV in the commons, stopped to watch and before long the whole commons was full, all classes cxld... Very surreal, people broke down crying, mass confusion as to what and why???

If healthy??? But that seems like a pretty big if.... I feel like by the time he is healthy the chemistry wouldn't be there... I do like him though so I hope he sticks around and can contribute next season.

This is a very legitimate concern.... I guess I would hope we will get some minutes (even just a few) from the likes of Priller, April, & Hoetzel in games of need if we run into foul trouble with Hanner, DD, or even Holt...

This was exactly what I was thinking. Then you got Stan & Rojo to come in at guards and Holt, Z3 to come in for frontcourt/wing rotation.   Maybe this is a prediction or maybe it is a pipe dream... but I don't want to be starting 3 guards... don't even want to be playing 3 guards at a time for long stretches. I know we are a guard heavy team but with too many guards in the game I fear we begin to move to fast and that leads to turnovers....

Yes we should sell beer... both at Memorial & in Assembly Hall... As mentioned in the thread many people are already drunk before coming into the game so why not have the university make some money off of it... Money that can be used for the betterment of the athletic departments...   I have been to many UofL games (Football, Baseball, & basketball) and they sell beer. Usually have separate lines for beer vs food/soda so no negative impact on those not wishing to partake... Baseball was a little different because they offer $1 beers along with free admission for baseball.... But for Football & Basketball the beer is a nice addition to watching the game, fairly expensive so you aren't going to get hammered (unless you get a headstart)....   For IU games I have and have seen others bring in flasks with liquor in them... maybe buy a soda to mix (ie the school gets a little revenue) but many times just take shots during the game.

What are you execting out of our August trip to Canada? 5 games in 6 days... that is a lot of basketball and not a lot of time outside of games for coaching or improving.....   Would you be happy seeing some type of team growth if we didn't win the games... I mean it is August, the games truly mean nothing.... so is winning them important for the team? The Coach? The Players? The Fans?   This is asked based on an article I read today in my local newspaper that ended with:"We're going to go through some tough days (in Canada). I (Crean) mean we're not going over there and winning all those games. No one's walking over there saying we've got to be 5-0 to be a success..."  

This is more of a HOPE than a true thought.... with my wife being the biggest UofL fan  have ever met I always hear about him and how much he is going to dominate us.... even if we lose the game if we shut him down I will be a little happy (of course more happy if he scores 50 and we still win)
