Well we had a couple dudes worth it. Sudfeld was before Allen's time. Since then it's only been Ramsay and Penix... maybe Jackson is next but I don't trust Allen to have a line or offense with keeping him healthy and successful.

Well I decided to not stay up all night to watch the game so I watched it this morning instead.    I am sure I will simply say what has already been said....
 
This game told us as much about the team as last weeks. Not a whole lot.  

I do think Jackson cemented himself as the starter, but what the hell do I know.  

I was infuriated with all the stupid penalties.  Two running into the kicker penalties?  Comeon.  Just sloppy.  

Louisville to me is the game that is going to say something about the team.  Win and I see at last 6 - 6. Lose 4 -8.

I suppose it’s part of the culture and LEO philosophy, but it’s so weird to me to see Allen clapping and cheering on after some of these terrible penalties.
Know he can’t be coaching that but just weird to see him clapping after that awful return penalty in the 2nd

Oof. Quicker routes mean quicker reads and more potential for a mis-communication that leads to a disaster. A quick slant or swing pass that's mis-thrown is a pick six. A mis-thrown long ball is effectively a 35 yard punt. A slow read with nothing available is a QB that runs, either into a sack or to the sideline to throw it away. Not great, but not a game-killing moment. I'm guessing that the QBs had it drilled into them to take a sack or tuck and run if a primary read wasn't available. 
Agree that we need to be less conservative going forward - I just think that against OSU the game plan was to stay within a touchdown by staying super-conservative, not risking one of QBs handing points to OSU, and relying on our defense. The 10-3 halftime score reinforced that the game plan was working so we stayed with it, but we didn't catch a break or two to stay that close by game's finish. 

Actually, IU defense overall played good enough (more often than not) played well enough to be in this game and maybe even win it (and many other games) if IU had a decent offense…not even great just competent offense from coaches through players.
Just turned into a very boring game. 

Hey, if we have to have one warmup game.  Learn a lot from this.
Anytime one plays OSU it's a toughy.
Rather get them out of the way.

This happens all the damn time with us; the defense has to stay on the field and put up with the offense's three and out crap, and then they get tired.

Decision time for TA. You either open it up now and try to score and risk getting busted up or you keep your QB’s in their shells and be comfortable losing like 27-3. 

We were a 31.5 point underdog ya know.

Why is he not seeing the ball on bubble screens, shallow crosses, stuff in the flat, that sort of thing? When he has space defenders have no shot.

I freely admit, IU looks a LOT better than I thought they would.  Really good first half.  I would never have thought they would be down only a TD after the first half.
