Game Day Rituals

wear the same retro IU shirt. Pace behind the couch whenever it gets too close.

I hear ya, I wear the same IU clothes/hat every game, and you can't make me sit down till the games over, unless it's a for sure win

for the first half during home games, I sit in front of my TV and do what the fans do during the game, whether that is jumping up and down, to signing the fight song!!!!!

Buddy/Alum comes over 90 mins before tip (even the 9am west coast time games) and we play a best of 7 series game of beer pong, while listening to an IU playlist and dissecting the last game and news in between.

We then have the same seats every game in my man cave, I wear the candy stripes, he's usually got some IU gear on, and my 7 month old son wears the same outfit everytime.

Been doing that for years, other than the kid part, and even during the dark ages of 2009-2011... When the drinking really really helped, now it's just for fun.

And yes all my neighbors (and wife) think we are crazy, especially for the 7:30am beer pong when the weather's nice outside. And my dog is terrified of anything resembling IU gear due to the rowdiness.

My kids get excited bc they know it means $$ for the swear jar! Reminders go off on all electronic devices 15min prior to tip - cell phone goes to vibrate and I have a color commentary with Hoosier friends on FB during timeouts. I hide behind the couch on occasion, pace a LOT and coach as if they can hear (to which my children love to point out they can't!). Always IU tshirt, hoodie if I'm cold. Kids sport theirs the day after WIN OR LOSE to show their pride :)

My oldest was born on the Generals birthday, my youngest was born in Indiana (which is a big deal when you are married to the Navy lol!) and my birthday and wedding anniversary - jan 20, day IU was founded. I feel like I have all the superstition stuff covered :)

Used to watch Kirk Haston's shot to beat Michigan State before every game.  Ever since the Watshot happened, it's been that one.  But I'll definitely be getting hyped for Tuesday's game with a few views of Kirk's tasty shot.

I was one of the first students on the court after that shot hit, had student seats right next to the band, on the aisle and in line with the basket... We didn't even think about rushing the court, we just ran... It was glorious

Go Hoosiers
