I figured this might be a good starter for everyone to get to know each other a little better.

Favorite #iubb Memory:  Actually have three...

1.  Indiana vs Duke 2002.  "The Block"

2. Indiana vs Duke 2005 - I know we lost, but this was my freshman year at IU and still remains the LOUDEST game I've ever been a part of.  The only reason I include this is I still remember it so vividly.

3. Indiana vs Kentucky 2011 - Feel like this is mandatory.

About Me:

Born and raised a Hoosier.  Grew up in Indianapolis, ventured down to Bloomington for 4 years and made it back to Indy.  I absolutely love Indiana basketball and football.  Sometimes I wish I could have a different favorite football team, but I'm Indiana through and through.  That being said, I'm not a hater of Indiana Basketball / Random School Football.  That might be a different story if #iufb won a couple more games each year.

I started BtownBanners.com in 2009 with a couple friends as a place to post our Plus/Minus stats.  Since then, it has grown into a fantastic community.  I have finally decided to dump some serious funds into the site for this message board.  My hopes are you all will enjoy the discussion and topics you see here.  Sharing the board and helping us grow is the greatest way you can show your support.

Thank you for everyone that's been to BtownBanners.com and now that is here at our new forum.  I look forward to talking IU sports with all of you!

Now... Tell the board about yourself!

Name: Brittany

Age: 17

Future college: Indiana University (of course!)

Favorite #iubb memory:

1. Watching IU beat Iowa in Assembly Hall last year 103-89, the game wasn't outstanding but it was my first time watching a live Big 10 game and I loved the atmosphere.

2. The Wat Shot because it was amazing, it happened during my Sweet Sixteen party, and I was able to rub it in my families faces (They're UK fans) after they had teased me about being an Indiana fan for years!

About me: I was born a Hoosier even though my dad thought he could turn me into a Wildcat. I'm currently a junior in high school and I plan to apply and enroll at Indiana University in the fall of 2014. As for Indiana Basketball, I love the team we have right now and my favorite player would have to be Cody Zeller and he has been since his recruitment. #iubb

Fav iubb Memory: It's gotta be the first win over a ranked opponent in Illinois back in 2010. Freshman year, and its always a good day when the Illini go down.

About me:

Born in Dallas, TX, I moved around a bunch until my family settled down in Olney, IL, and that's where we have stayed since. Growing up in a small farm town isn't easy, especially when they are all Illini fans. But just like my grandparents and parents before me, I knew my heart lied in the Hoosier State. I'm currently a junior at IU, and it couldn't be a better time to be here. I first started doing media work with the student radio station WIUX (I will be broadcasting the Illini game) and now have the wonderful opportunity to write for BtownBanners.

From: Pendleton, IN

About me: custom biotech specialist at Roche Diagnostics. Diehard Hoosiers, Cubs, Colts, and Pacers fan.

IU memories: I was only 16 but listening Don Fischer call the end of the IU/Duke game in 2002 still brings tears to my eyes! Obviously his reaction to Watford's shot over UK. And Marco's fast break dunk against Duke.

My favorite personal Assembly Hall experience was probably sitting in the bleachers against UCONN in 2008.

My name is Sean Meehan.

Currently a student at IU, not just a huge fan of iubb, but of the entire university. I'm currently a sophomore studying telecommunication with pursuit of sports production. I work for the BTN as part of the Student U program that they offer and am very excited with the opportunities that have been offered to me. It gives me a chance to be a part of and see behind the scenes of many athletic events.

Follow me on Twitter if you wish: @SeanMMeehan - I have nothing to hide.

I hope this works, but if you have any interest in Don Fischer, I was able to do a story on him for a class project. Take a look... It's a mobile link so it may not work. Otherwise "Don Fischer: The Voice of Indiana Basketball" by Ccrowntru02

Hi everyone,

NAME: Marcus L.

AGE: 22

I'm a diehard indiana fan and have been since I was born! My top IU memory is a toss up! I have to say last year when IU beat UK. It returned us to the national spotlight and one of the elite programs where we need and supposed to be! I'm also huge into recruiting. I reside in Fort Wayne, IN. If anyone of you have time, you need to go to the spiece run n slam. It's an awesome event and very organized. Definitely a must see.

College: Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN

Currently live in Elkhart, IN

Favorite #IUBB memory, IU/Duke 2002, IU\UK 2011, last time IU played at ND, I believe it was 2002. ( only because I was there)

I rarely get the chance to see IU games live due to living in Northern Indiana but never miss a game on TV unless they are a weekday game that starts at 4:00 (today). Spent the last two year officiating basketball games at the high school level but gave it up when my wife became preganet with our third child, born on November 23 (Steve Alford's birthday). Work for the state of Indiana for the Department of Child Services. Enjoy watching Indiana sports, Colts football, Cubs Baseball, Yankee baseball, and whoever is play Notre Dame football.

Kurt Hammond age 35, live in Tell City, IN.  Been to a lot of games growing up during the Calbert's years.  Been to a few in the last few years but not as much as i would like to.  Plan to start taking my son (3 yrs) in the next year or so and enjoy the scenery of Assembly Hall live again.  Hopefully he will enjoy as well as i did when i was growing up.As far as favorite moment i have too many to list.  There was a lot of favorite moments during Calbert's playing days such as the LSU and UCLA victory in the tournament of '92. I remembered watching every game of the 87 championship run and Smart hitting the shot.  The Duke victory in 2002 and being in Bloomington for the championship game watching at Upstairs Pub (heavy drinking that night).  Of course, "Watford for the win" is a memory that i will never forget.  My hobbies include golfing, wine making, cooking, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends.  Not only i follow Indiana sports but also follow Colts and St. Louis Cardinals.
