  1. JR SMITH , I'm sure the Mullins house would cherish that phone call. He could borrow some money off Braylon on his way to pick-up Delonte West. The point I was making with this. Braylon can go almost anywhere. IU has what to offer him besides proximity? I've seen him play a lot, the transformation is incredible. We all want him to come to IU because he's a helluva player from Indiana. He can do better for himself and future career than IU. I'd at least go visit Alabama. Woody has to land 1 of 3 in state guys. That's the marching orders from the NIL faucet. If it was his choice I know who it would be. There's emphasis on spending the money on prep players this time around.
  2. Ty Rogers gets after it buddy. He's someone that every winning team needs.
  3. You're right, he can stay at iu 4 years and never get to the NBA. Unless Woody decides to run a completely different offense. If he's still on the board, what do you think Rick Barnes is going to show him in October? Dalton Knecht usage rates and sets that were designed for his exact player profile. If Barnes was going to be there the next 3 years, that's where he should go. He'll be Knechts size in 3 years and defend. Dusty May has the 3 guard offense and the development of Johnell Davis, another player with a similar profile. Alabama would be another great place. I want to be wrong on this, but Woody has nothing in his play book for Mullins. Coming to IU with potentially Carlyle and Newton ahead of him with only Tamar Bates as an example of similar skills undeveloped....smh. I'll cross my fingers.
  4. Gives off a serious Grady **** vibe. Does he end up at an academy?
  5. We appear to be priorizing the young man. I love a pass first pg that can defend his position. This guy is that.
  6. Tennessee for obvious reasons, Michigan because of the offense and immediately being featured and Alabama because Oates is an offensive savant that puts up 50 threes a game. All significantly better basketball choices than IU. He can be a two and done at one of those 3 schools. Woody might be the worst coach in the country for his skill set, and I hope the young man makes a decision that's not based on the odometer of his car. Being brutally honest, who thinks Woody is going to evolve enough to do anything with Braylon Mullins game with 4 guards on roster with multiple years of eligibility left? He does not fit the Woody profile. Sad as that is.
  7. With the scraps Coach Matta had to work with last year I think he did a heckuva job. Right now he has McCaffery, Colt Langdon and Robinson. If he can get Singleton from Jeffersonville that's a really strong group. If Butler only had a former NBA player that made 1/4billion over his career to help with NIL?
  8. Outside of the Dream 3, I think it comes down to Ament and Tiller. With next year's portal big class projected to be the weakest since the portal opened, Tiller can play the post behind or with Reneau and Moreno, so I like that option better, I think Ament is the hotter name in our recruiting process right now though.
  9. He's committing to IU when he gets back from UConn?
  10. I was all for this guy as a frosh then I got around things a bit and I was turned off by everything about him except the talent. No one has ever said anything positive about playing with him. I think Notre Dame is a great spot for him.
  11. Couldn't agree more. DME took a second to register. Dan Panaggio, former assistant coach at IU briefly and everywhere else. He's the co-founder of DME. They've been around 10 years maybe, down in Florida. They're a second tier basketball factory. I don't get the move. There are some shady characters out there hanging on as career guys and Panaggio is the poster child. Everywhere something goes wrong he's there. I'd take a hard pass on this one.
  12. I know Johnson is a top 15 talent, he just always plays like crap when I watch him. Mingo and Mallory are always great when I watch them, but my idea of point guard is a creator, team leader. Robert Wright III type.
  13. I've been critical of Woody's decisions with his staff after deciding to fire Fife. Not the firing but the moves after. Walsh having never been a road recruiter before, being given the territory handled by Fife was startling. He's had it trimmed down a bit with Rosemond and Hunter being connected in their perspective regions. He's had a lot of help with initial connections and handling the on campus relationship building with Hulls involvement. All that being said, if he can have his name on the top line of "Dream Class" he will fast track his career by a decade or more. Adam Howard has his limitations with his job title in the same way Jordy does, but they make a heckuva 3-headed monster in what has always been a gold mine area for talent. I won't lie, the dumpster full of money we have to give Moreno and our big man development plan does make me feel a bit more confident than I would have.
  14. Dominos falling a bit now with the guards: Next 4: Peterson-Kansas, Thomas-UConn, Jasper Johnson-Kentucky, Mullins-Indiana I think Shrewsbury's hard work pays off in here somewhere. Haralson-Koehler???
  15. Adam Howard's best friend is Moreno's older brother. That in a vacuum wouldn't be a huge deal, but we're pitching day one start at the 5. Ware is a fine advertisement right now, we'll match or exceed nil and there's the relationships with the other two. Garrison may be in the way at UK. If we don't land him, we did all we could.
  16. I now have every reason to believe that we have the Ballel Rick trio in the bag. The Adam Howard addition may have locked this up. There has to be a world if we're big man tech where we could bring in two bigs on potentially different timeliness. Next year's 5 spot portal doesn't project well.
  17. I says he wants to see how indiana let's their guards play this year. Ole Miss has been believed to be the leader here forever but I think we have a shot. After Sisley locked him up on multiple occasions this summer I'm not for sure where I'm at on him.
  18. I wish we had a time table with him. His player profile reads like Reneau's. If that killer switch ever flips to the on position with him he's a top 5 player.
  19. Physically he's got some work to do but he passes the eye test as a potential 1st round draft pick. Woodys going to check the hs recruiting box this year.
  20. Does he give you an AJ Hammonds vibe?
  21. A strong friendship between Malachi's older brother and Howard.
  22. Omg.... Brian Walsh is going to pull this off. The Adam Howard-Moreno family connection was a slick chess move too.
