    They are going off last year. His second year at Drake he was shooting 6 spg and was a facilitator. He clipped a 43% rate.

    I mean you can complain about his shooting but size? He is 6’2” and 180 lbs. In Drakes year 2 he shot 45% from 2 and 43% from 3. Holtmann and Diebler have a really crappy offense and it’s hard to watch. Lots of standing around, no movement and having a guard attack the basket.

    I don’t disagree but I don’t see it as a can’t miss. I have always been big on players that can play both ways. Despised the Roth pick up for example because he was so god damn slow defensively.

    He doesn’t have the lateral quickness to be good enough. I just don’t see this as a good fit.

    I think we should aim bigger. Dix isn’t a good defender. What you get on offense is outweighed by the poor defense.

    I think he could be a nice fill in starter or a starter that is out there to fill a specific role. Such as if he is just driving and kicking and shooting the open three as well. He is pesky on D. If we surround him with a lot of finishers and shooters. Just drive and kick. I miss the starter role players that Knight, Davis championship game run and Sampson. Not everyone needs to be a star.

    I think you have to look at who is playing for. Holtmann offense was a PG trying to do too much and not a lot of movement. At Drake, he had better stats. https://hoop-math.com/Drake2024.php

    Have them going to the Elite 8. Young is a good coach and he has some nice talent there. Think the Big 10 should try to figure out a way to add them with the Mormon contingency.

    Dude he was a college student. Do you realize how many dumb things kids do from the age of 18-25? I am so sure you were perfect. This is a new level of immaturity that I thought was only at my daughter’s 12 year old level.

    I view it this way man. If I was a coach and my son or any kid played 8 games due to an injury and was out an extended time……I would not let them come back. It does that kid a disservice. XJ did it to us one year remember? **** happens.

    McCollum as much as I like him this would have been the biggest issue. Great coach. Question with him will be consistency at this level. If I was him I would be very choosy where I ended up. I wanted him here but I also don’t think it would have been the best fit for him. He is a great basketball mind though. I think DeVries if you think about it will be the better fit long term.

    He also thanked IU to allow him to concentrate on finishing the season to finalize everything. Does seem like it was in place for awhile based on wording. Which is why you are getting all the crazy conspiracy theories from the WVU side of things.

    I saw a drill DeVries ran and it reminded me of the cover on the rim drill Sampson used to do. I think we will have more fight and shooters this year.

    He is talking about Sean Miller taking a **** on his assistant, Book Richardson, and his assistant spending time in jail for him and Miller not helping him out afterwards.
