Just thought it was interesting. I was like who the four or five we are talking to? I don’t think many people know much right now.

On Rivals, there is an interview with Risley who said that DeVries is negotiating with a bunch of players and expected 4-5 commits by the end of the week. This is coming from a former players call with DeVries and Dolson.

Historically we have had coaches just keep the players. I think Archie kind of got away from the type of kids that made him successful at Dayton. It was why I was like let them all leave and get players that fit what you are trying to accomplish.

Saw a post where he hurt himself and finished the last 9 games of the season as well. Had some 20 point games against good comp before that was what the post was saying.

Sisley and DeVries are PF, they aren’t 3s. Sisley is a 4 and a small ball 5. If they play the 3 are defense will be atrocious.

He had great games against St John’s, UCONN and Northwestern before his injury. He played only 8 after.

That seems like a fan issue more than anything else. Don’t need to win the offseason, you need to win the season. Get to a mindset of the results will be on the floor. Tom Coverdale and Jared Odle were two of the more important players from our 2002 team and I take it that wouldn’t have the were back moment. We need to get back to building teams instead of gathering potential.

I don’t think it needs to be flashy. It needs to be well spent and constructed. 5 of the top 8 teams in last years portal rankings underperformed during the season. One of them redeemed itself in the tourney. Louisvilles highest ranked kid in the portal was Edwards at 77.

Dude losing out on two of your best players maybe your best one will wreck a lot of teams seasons. It’s Purdue without Smith. It’s Duke without Flagg. It’s Indiana without Cheaney. It sucks.

You may think there ain’t a plan but most likely there is right? Freaking over it now shows what? Numerous instances of teams signing fast and high ranked kids and not doing well. There are numerous instances of depending on the portal and not depending on the portal with working and not working. It’s a crap shoot. Worrying about it today is a 100% worthless. You could be happy and have the #1 class and barely make it in the tourney or the #2 class and not make it in the tourney or the #3 class and have your worst team in the last 20 years or the #6 class and miss the tourney because your two best players get hurt or #8 team in the portal rankings and finish dead last in the big ten. You know?

My wife tells me I have no patience. I just need to direct her to an IU message board and go, “see I am patient as ****.”

Saw a post on another site that Louisville for example didn’t fill their roster until middle to end of April last year. They had a total rebuild like us. It’s hard but people just need to relax a little.
