That is where we are at. Why would anyone think our expectations should be what it was 30 years ago. Probably half of the posters on here haven't seen IU win a championship so why would they expect a championship.

Well we have a new president, also how were they not serious when hiring Crean or Archie. They were proven coaches from a smaller conference and had great success. Crean made the final four and Archie made the ite 8. I here Dusty May's name and he hasn't done anymore than those two. Also if you believe the rumors we went all out for Brad Stevens do they have been serious. Just because things don't work doesn't mean they weren't serious

McNeely is definitely something we desperately need and that is a wing shooter. Show me the roster in April before I panic about next year's team.

53, was 5 in March of 76 so don't have a lot of memories of that team but I remember everything about 81. I got to the point where I am not going to let an outcome of games to effect me like it use to. I love to see more championships but if I don't I still have seen more championships than most fan bases have seen. There is a certain team up north that hasn't ever seen one and a lot of others schools are in the same boat. I was blessed early on to see my teams be successful with IU winning 3 and the Reds winning 3 championships as well.

Just ridiculous, what makes you think they wouldn't be serious about the next hire. They seemed to put and spend on a football coach who has been a winner every ace he has gone. If you expect the next hire to be a top coach in the country you will be disappointed. Those guys don't leave their job for another top program.

What has Dusty done that is much better than what Crean and Archie did before co.ing to IU. I le Dusty but if he didn't go to IU would he be on your list

It actually started around the 96-97 season when we stopped being a consistent winner. We still made the tournament but wasn't a real high seed and lost in the first round 4 out of 6 seasons after the 94 sweet 16 team.

Well if you looked at the prediction threads and saw what most predicted the score would be this was a lot t better than expected. I hate losing as well and have seen IU at its best but that isn't where the program is right now. Our expectations for this season shouldn't be what it was 30 years ago.
